McDermott + Bull Assists Technology Credit Union with Chief Marketing Officer Search

May 15, 2025 – Irvine, CA-based McDermott + Bull has assisted in the recruitment of Terri Giannetti as chief marketing officer of Technology Credit Union (Tech CU) in San Jose, CA. The search was led by McDermott + Bull president Brandon Biegenzahn, managing director Courtney Dorrel, vice president Hilary Raska, and senior and executive recruiter Rachel Camonayan. “Terri’s extensive background in marketing, customer segmentation, data analytics and member experience, paired with her leadership at both credit unions and well-known retail brands, makes her an ideal fit to lead our marketing strategy,” said Todd Harris, CEO of Tech CU. “Her ability to align marketing and operational goals will be essential as we continue building momentum toward our current and future goals.”
As chief marketing officer, Ms. Giannetti will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive lead generation, sales conversion, market share growth, member retention, and brand awareness. She brings over 27 years of leadership experience across the financial services and retail industries, most recently serving as chief experience officer at Seattle Credit Union. There, she led a 72-person team spanning marketing, brand, retail, contact center, and facilities.

Ms. Dorrel partners with the principal consultants on executive-level searches. Her prior professional experience includes admissions recruitment for a nationally-recognized trade college, as well as recruiting for technology and pharmaceutical/medical device professionals at small boutique firms.
Ms. Camonayan works within McDermott + Bull’s financial services practice, where she works closely with the firm’s managing directors to source senior leadership talent for clients. Prior to joining the firm, she served for three years at a retained executive search firm based in Los Angeles that specialized in conducting senior and executive-level searches for clients in the financial services industry. Namely, their clientele was composed of banks, credit unions, and financial technology organizations.

Current business landscape demands have only increased the contribution from CMOs, according to the latest research report from Forrester and Heidrick & Struggles. The survey found that CMOs are building strong relationships with the head of product and research and development to prepare their organizations for digital disruption.

The Talent Studios has recruited Katie Keil as the senior vice president of marketing and chief marketing officer of San Francisco Bay Area-based specialty coffee roaster and retailer Peet’s Coffee. Gretchen Koch and Serena Smith led the assignment. Ms. Keil brings over 20 years of consumer products, beauty, and consumer technology marketing leadership experience. She has a strong track record of driving results on both big and startup brands, existing and new to the world products, turnaround and high growth businesses. Ms. Keil previously served as CMO of MyFitnessPal. In this role, she grew revenue 1.6x over three years, leading business strategy, International, customer service and full funnel marketing (growth, lifecycle, creative, brand). She also led development and implementation of new business strategy resulting in more strategic focus, clearer innovation roadmap and better collaboration across functions.
Greenwood Village, CO-based executive search firm RevelOne has helped to recruit Kaylin Durham as the new chief marketing officer of SupplyHouse.com in Melville, NY. The search was led by vice president Liz Schrum and Montse Jungers. “Thank you Josh Meyerowitz and Matt Willden – CEO and CHRO at SupplyHouse.com – for working closely with our team throughout the search,” RevelOne said in a LinkedIn post. Ms. Durham brings a background in scaling teams across marketing and e-commerce, managing large marketing budgets and deep expertise in digital channels. She most recently served as chief customer officer at The Aaron Company Inc. Before that, Ms. Durham gained experience in senior roles with Swarm Agency and 22squared.
