Major, Lindsey & Africa Opens Minneapolis/St. Paul Office

June 19, 2015 – Search firm Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA) has expanded its footprint in the Midwest with the opening of a Minneapolis/St. Paul office. Brian McMahon has been tapped to lead the new location as managing director, representing associate attorneys, individual partners and partner groups in the lateral marketplace and executing focused searches for law firm clients. In his new role, Mr. McMahon will help attorneys and law firms by counseling and guiding them through the recruitment process. He joins MLA after practicing law in the Twin Cities for 15 years, first as an associate and partner at Gray Plant Mooty and then running his own law firm.

“Since the economic recovery began, we have seen an increase in lateral activity in many major U.S. markets, including the Twin Cities,” said Simon Robinson, Major, Lindsey & Africa president. “This presents the perfect opportunity for MLA to enter the market and meet the demand for highly specialized legal search services. Brian’s experience practicing law in the Twin Cities and his active participation in a number of local bar associations make him an ideal person to oversee our efforts in this market.”

Mr. McMahon is the president-elect of the Ramsey County Bar Association and its former secretary, treasurer and vice president. He is also serving his second term on the Second Judicial District Ethics Committee.

With offices throughout the U.S., London, Hong Kong and Tokyo, Major, Lindsey & Africa is an executive search firm focused on the legal sector.
