Leathwaite Continues Partnership with St Marylebone School

October 23, 2026 – London-based executive search firm Leathwaite is continuing its long-standing partnership with St Marylebone School in London, supporting students as they prepare for the next stages of their academic and professional journeys. The firm said the program is part of its community engagement efforts and reflects its commitment to social mobility and widening access to opportunity.

St Marylebone is a state school where around 40 percent of students speak English as an additional language and 59 percent come from backgrounds other than White British, according to Leathwaite. Many students are also the first in their families to apply to university and may not have access to the networks, guidance, and interview experience that can help during the application process.

This autumn, colleagues from across Leathwaite will once again work with students preparing for interviews for Oxford, Cambridge, and other highly competitive university programs, as well as Degree Apprenticeship opportunities. Volunteers will conduct one-on-one mock interviews designed to help students build confidence, strengthen their communication skills, and articulate their ambitions and interests more effectively.

Students provide their personal statements before the sessions, allowing Leathwaite volunteers to tailor the conversations to their chosen subjects and aspirations. The firm said its volunteers draw on their own professional experience when conducting the interviews.

Supporting Social Mobility

Leathwaite said the program has become an important part of its community engagement efforts. By helping students navigate significant points in their educational journeys, the firm hopes to make a difference to their confidence and future prospects.

“As a firm that is dedicated to helping people realize their potential, we’re incredibly proud to continue this partnership and support the next cohort of talented young people as they prepare for the opportunities ahead,” Leathwaite said.

Scaling Growth Through Transformative Talent

High-growth environments can compress time, magnify decisions, and expose leadership gaps in an instant. As companies move through periods of rapid expansion, the ability to build and evolve the right leadership team becomes increasingly critical to sustaining momentum and creating long-term value. Across private equity, venture capital, and technology-driven businesses, organizations are rethinking how they assess executive talent, strengthen leadership benches, and prepare teams for the demands of the next stage of growth. From founder-led recruiting and executive assessment to AI-enabled talent intelligence, cybersecurity leadership, and organizational design, the focus is shifting toward more deliberate, data-informed decisions about the people ultimately responsible for scaling the enterprise.

Hunt Scanlon Media will convene more than 250 private equity & venture capital operating partners, chief talent officers, and executive recruiters at The Marker Hotel in San Francisco on October 28, 2026. The program will explore how organizations across venture capital, private equity, and high-growth technology sectors are building the leadership infrastructure required to scale—examining how talent decisions, executive team design, and leadership assessment strategies are evolving to support sustained growth, innovation, and long-term enterprise value.

When the partnership was launched in 2018, Leathwaite said St Marylebone was particularly interested in exposing students to a wider range of career paths and professional experiences. The school also identified opportunities for Leathwaite to support academic mentoring, career awareness, and workshops on women in leadership.
