Kingsley Gate Partners Expands in Brazil

September 11, 2019 – In an effort to expand its global presence, Kingsley Gate Partners has added Maria Eugenia Bias Fortes as senior partner, Priscilla Batistao as vice president and Betina Ferlic Dussel as principal in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Ms. Eugenia Bias Forte brings over 12 years of experience in the executive search industry specializing in top-level roles in the consumer, retail, education and life sciences, board and executive coaching practices. Previously, she was a partner at Odgers Berndtson and Spencer Stuart. Before becoming involved with executive search, her career was developed in marketing and communications.

Ms. Batistao has been working in executive search and professional services since 2005 focused on the consumer goods, retail, education and assessment practices. Previously, she was a partner at Odgers Berndtson and a senior associate at Spencer Stuart.

Ms. Ferlic Dussel, who becomes a member of Kingsley Gate Partners’ life sciences and industrial practices, was also a partner at Odgers Berndtson and a senior associate at Spencer Stuart, where she recruited C-level executives for clients in the life sciences, industrial and consumer goods industries.

“We’re excited to have Maria Eugenia, Priscilla and Betina join our team and expand our capabilities in Latin America,” said Buster Houchins, senior partner, office of the CEO, Kingsley Gate Partners. “We look forward to their many contributions on behalf of our clients and candidates.”

In a separate announcement, Kingsley Gate said that it also added Arushi Bhattacharya and Shikha Sheth as vice presidents based in the firm’s New Delhi office.

With nearly two decades of experience in the executive search industry, both bring deep expertise in building diverse leadership teams for their clients. Their expertise spans a variety of industries and functions with a strong track record of placing executives in real estate, financial services, education, health care, oil and energy, telecom, retail, consumer and manufacturing. Before joining Kingsley Gate Partners, the two were founding partners at Bluewater Consulting. Ms. Bhattacharya has led senior-level searches for notable and marquee names in the business across India and the Middle East. Ms. Sheth has worked with some of the biggest multinationals, and family-led businesses across consulting, private banking and executive search.

“We are thrilled to have Arushi and Shikha join our team,” said Nancy Albertini, senior partner and office of the CEO, Kingsley Gate Partners. “Their expertise enables them to recruit culturally-compatible leadership for multi-national organizations. Our continued global growth into this key market strengthens our ability to exceed results on behalf of our global clientele.”

Founded in 2006, Kingsley Gate Partners recruits senior leadership for private equity and venture capital portfolio businesses and Fortune 100 companies. Headquartered in Dallas, the firm employs consultants and recruiters with expertise in private equity, life sciences, technology manufacturing and professional services. Its clients include Best Buy, CenturyLink, Ernst & Young, Here, Ford, Ingram Micro, Medtronic, Neustar, Veritas and Warburg Pincus.

Continued Expansion

This past spring, Kingsley Gate Partners acquired Latin American executive search firm CPGroup Latam. Through this acquisition, the firm added 14 partners across eight offices including Bogota, Colombia; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Caracas, Venezuela; Lima, Peru; Mexico City, Mexico; São Paulo, Brazil; Santiago de Chile; and Miami, FL. CPGroup Latam previously operated under an affiliation agreement with Caldwell, which was mutually terminated earlier this year.

“With this acquisition, Kingsley Gate Partners will bring the technology and science that is revolutionizing the executive search industry to this important, growing region,” said Umesh Ramakrishnan, senior partner, OCEO.

Kingsley Gate also named Magui Castro as a senior partner. She is based in the firm’s London office. Ms. Castro has a deep background in retained executive search, specializing in recruiting C-level executives across the consumer, retail and life sciences sectors. She joined the firm from Caldwell Partners, LatAm and European groups.

Lastly, Kingsley Gate introduced its new Synchronous Fit framework that leverages scientific cloud-based tools combined with insights from search consultants to provide the best fit between executives and companies. “The objective of the methodology is to ensure a lasting fit between client and candidate,” said Mr. Ramakrishnan. “Synchronous Fit accomplishes this by ensuring that risks are mitigated in the search process. This is achieved in two ways: first, by splitting the interview process between expert humans and intelligent cloud-based software. Second, by quantitatively and separately scoring the experience, the attributes, the values and the references of the candidate.”
