IIC Partners Names New Practice Leaders

January 19, 2021 – IIC Partners Executive Search Worldwide has appointed new leadership to its global practice groups.

Romain Girard, partner at Progress in Paris, has been appointed leader for the financial services practice group. Mr. Girard specializes in senior-level recruitment in the banking industry. “I would like to thank IIC Partners for the trust they have put in me,” said Mr. Girard. “Our ambition is to partner with financial services clients in recruiting and developing their executives, as well as accompanying them in their transformations. We all bring to the table our thorough knowledge of our respective national markets.” Nicole Sandford, global board services leader at Ellig Group in New York, was named leader of the board search practice group. In addition to executing director and C-suite placements, Ms. Sandford advises boards and senior executives on the most strategic elements of governance, particularly those related to board competency and diversity. “I’m honored to work with my IIC colleagues around the world to further enhance the quality of our client boards and excited to build upon the board practice’s history of success,” Ms. Sandford said. “Together, we can bring forward the best possible candidates for each search without regard to geographic barriers.”

IIC Partners has also appointed two deputy leaders to strengthen the operation of the practice groups and to enhance global business opportunities. Diane Homer, director, interim management and executive search at Farber Group in Toronto, has been selected to serve as deputy leader of the consumer and retail practice group. Gerald Knol, partner at Holtrop Ravesloot in Amsterdam, has been appointed as deputy Leader of the life sciences and healthcare practice group.

“Our global practice groups are a vital part of our IIC community, and we are grateful to Romain and Nicole for stepping into practice leader roles for the financial services and board practices groups, respectively,” said Renee Arrington, president and chief operating officer at Pearson Partners International in Dallas and board director for IIC Partners. “The deputy practice leaders share the work, and we appreciate Diane and Gerald for undertaking these responsibilities in the consumer and retail and life sciences and healthcare practices.”

Growing Consortium

IIC Partners specializes in executive search and leadership consulting services. The group has 39 independently owned and managed member firms with more than 450 consultants in 42 cities across 29 countries. Areas of sector specialization include industrial, financial services, consumer and retail, energy, life sciences, technology, board, higher education, infrastructure and human resources.

IIC Partners recently added Visindi as a member. This became the 24th IIC Partners office in Europe. Visindi was founded in 2004 by Jenny Homme, Heidi Wiggen and Magne Amundsen, and immediately experienced rapid growth. Every year since 2015, Visindi has been rated the biggest executive search firm in Norway by Finansavisen, Norway’s second-largest business newspaper. Visindi now has 38 consultants in four offices across Norway, working on C-suite and board-level searches for local and multinational organizations. The firm carries out assignments at board and senior management levels across all industries in both private and public sector.

IIC Partners Elects New Board Members
IIC Partners elected Vanessa Dalas and Michel Grisay as board directors, EMEA. “As I enter the last year of my three-year term as chair, it is great to know that the organization is supported by such strong professionals as Vanessa and Michel,” said Todd Hohauser, global chair of IIC Partners. “I have had the pleasure of working and interacting with them for years; I know our members, and in turn, our clients, will benefit from their participation in our organization.”

“Our rapid growth to become the largest executive search firm in Norway has been underpinned by our ethical approach to business; we prize social commitment, far-sightedness and diversity,” said Mr. Homme, managing partner. “These core values are shared by IIC Partners and membership was a natural choice for our global expansion. We are excited to share best practices, expand our cross-border activity and to work together on our shared mission for a diverse, equal and inclusive world.”

The organization also added executive recruiters Teamconsult as a member firm. Located in Prague and Bratislava, Teamconsult will substantially strengthen IIC Partners’ position in the Central and Eastern European region. Teamconsult is focused on serving international organizations with business operations or investment interests in Czechia and Slovakia. The firm’s team of senior consultants are fluent in English, German, Czech, and Slovak, and were handpicked for their specialist industry knowledge. As a team, the expert consultants cover most sectors and functions.
