Gray Scalable Names Head of Executive Search
September 20, 2018 – New York-headquartered executive search firm Gray Scalable has named Eric Tenety as head of executive search.
For over 17 years, Mr. Tenety has served venture capital and private equity portfolio companies as well as publicly-listed businesses undergoing transformation through the acquisition of innovative talent. He has worked with a number of founders, operators and investors including the teams behind Atlas Obscura, Meetup, Oden Technologies, Plated, Farfetch, Refinery29, Squarespace, Criteo, Centric Digital, Sizmek, Market Logic Software, JW Player, Coty, Spotify, Particle IO, Ellucian, TransferWise, onefinestay, Livestream, LearnZillion and TransUnion.
Mr. Tenety has also advised several of the world’s largest financial services organizations, including Deutsche Bank, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and UBS, on disruption, innovation and growth for several of their core businesses.
From 2014 to 2018, Mr. Tenety was a search consultant with Renovata Partners in New York and before that spent four years as director, executive search with Solomon Page Group. Earlier in his career, he gained search experience with the Landstone Group, Muller & Associates and Solebury Capital Group.

Growing Search Firm
Established in 2012 by Charlie Gray, Gray Scalable specializes in recruiting engineers, product, and sales and marketing professionals for start-up and growth-stage tech companies. Its clients include Clubhouse, Bowery Farming, Gemini Trust Company, and Grailed and Heroine, among others.
At the end of last year, the firm opened an office in Los Angeles with the addition veteran talent acquisition professional Darla Hornbjork. For over a decade, Ms. Hornbjork has been assisting tech companies in hiring engineers, product designers, marketing and sales professionals.
