Gallagher MSA Search was recently retained by Currus Inc. to lead the search for a new president and CEO. The assignment is being led by managing director and senior advisor Kathy Hall as well as senior recruiter Patricia McCollum.
The CEO of Currus will report to the board of directors and is responsible for the effective conduct of the affairs of Currus strategically and operationally, said Gallagher MSA Search. The individual will be expected to work closely with the board to plan, organize and direct programs to grow and sustain the cooperative as they promote and encourage the continued growth of independent pharmacies in the state of Kansas.
Currus wants its next CEO to be a visionary, strategic leader with a strong business background and prior experience leading the growth of a company. In addition to having abilities at all levels of financial management, the individual must have proven skills in building strong, trusting relationships. Candidates should have prior knowledge of and experience with one or more of the following: the insurance/pharmacy benefit management industry, retail pharmacy business, advocacy work or lobbying, and the wholesale drug group buying business.
