Germany is the largest national economy in Europe, and the fourth largest by nominal GDP in the world. The country’s service sector makes up 70 percent of its GDP and nearly 40 percent of Fortune Global 500 companies are headquartered here. But Germany is facing severe economic prospects, as the country comes to grips with a growing immigration and migrant crisis which is expected to challenge every corner of its society, from education and healthcare infrastructure to jobs.
Well known companies in the country include Mercedes-Benz, BMW, SAP, Siemens, Volkswagen, Adidas, Audi, Allianz, Porsche, Bayer, BASF, Bosch, and Nivea. As such, it is an important base of operations for search firms, including Egon Zehnder, Spencer Stuart, Boyden, Russell Reynolds Associates, Heidrick & Struggles, DHR International and Korn Ferry.
ERSG recently opened a new office in The Netherlands. Hans Slootweg serves as country manager there. He is an experienced recruitment professional bringing with him 12 years of business management experience working within the energy and engineering sector.
“We are delighted to have opened our Dutch office and welcome Hans to ERSG,” said Mr. Ryan. “The opening of our Dutch office is a significant step forward for ERSG’s expansion into the European energy market. Along with our plans for growth in Germany and the U.S., we are very optimistic about the future.”
ERSG has expertise across a range of areas such as onshore & offshore wind energy, smart energy & utilities, well engineering, subsea & marine and power & nuclear, among others.
The firm recently signed an exclusivity agreement with Mammoet Wind to supply contract staff across Europe. Mr. Ryan said that following a successful four-year collaboration with the company, “we are now entering an exclusivity agreement and I look forward to continuing to build upon our excellent working relationship.”
