ECA Partners Recruits CEO for RedCAT Systems

March 25, 2024 – Santa Monica, CA-based search firm ECA Partners has assisted in the recruitment of Jason Phillips as the new CEO for RedCAT Systems, a Boulder, CO-based compensation platform with people-centered solutions for performance and pay. “With a rich background in global business leadership spanning over a decade, Jason’s appointment signals a new chapter of growth and innovation for RedCAT Systems as we look to build upon the revenue and new customer growth we saw in 2023,” the company said.

Bringing extensive expertise in managing complex global operations and strategic initiatives, Mr. Phillips has a track record in profit and loss management, sales and marketing, business development, and human capital management.

Mr. Phillips has spent his career in and around the HR tech and operations space, with over 20 years managing global and complex human resources delivery operations at Deloitte, Kaiser Permanente, and most recently at Cisco, where he served as the global leader for Cisco’s go-to-market transformation to an SaaS model. While there, he also led the enhancement of workforce experiences by championing the intersection between digital, business transformation and the employee journey.

In his new position with RedCAT, Mr. Phillips will leverage his inspirational leadership abilities, his deep understanding of the HR tech and operations space, and his commanding network of enterprise-level HR partners to further enhance the company’s suite of vital solutions and bring them to a broad network of enterprise and growth-stage companies. He will be instrumental in optimizing RedCAT’s sales channels and enhancing business development strategies. At this stage, RedCAT is a small company looking to grow, and Mr. Phillips will be able to draw on his successful F100 leadership career to set and guide the company along a significant forward trajectory

ECA Partners Grows Search Staff with PE Veteran
ECA Partners has expanded with the addition of Curtis Wise as a senior director. “Curtis brings significant experience in lower middle-market and middle market private equity, as ECA continues to expand in the space,” said Burt Francis, managing director at ECA. “Most notably, he comes with a strong track record of supporting his PE clients on critical talent needs both during and after the transaction process. We’re excited to have him on board.” Managing director Jason Blonstein outlined how Mr. Wise’s expertise will prove integral to the company’s next phase of growth: “We are thrilled to have Curtis Wise join ECA as a senior director. Atta Tarki is the founder and chairman of ECA. He leads ECA’s private equity and venture capital practice, where he supports PE-owned, VC-owned and other high growth companies with filling C-level positions. His primary focus is on CEO, COO, president, CFO, and chief strategy officer roles. Prior to ECA, Mr. Tarki led management consulting engagements at L.E.K. Consulting.

ECA Partners recently recruited Harsh Singh as the new CEO of Vital Care Industries. “Based on Harsh’s healthcare background and previous roles in banking, business development, investment management, and operational leadership, we believe that he is uniquely suited to execute on a growth strategy that will significantly enhance Vital Care’s value,” said Johannes Zwick, managing partner, Broadtree Partners, the private equity firm that acquired Vital Care in 2021.

Mr. Singh brings a background in management consulting, investment banking, and in-house corporate development in the healthcare and life sciences space. He is a growth-oriented executive and venture capitalist with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry leading private capital financings, IPOs, origination, and deal structuring. Mr. Singh provides a background that includes C-suite operational experience, corporate governance, strategy, and investment banking. Most recently, he founded the VC fund, Lodi Ventures, and served as interim CEO of Thomas Medical, a medical manufacturer and one of the fund’s portfolio companies.
