Diversified Search Names Healthcare Practice Leader
October 5, 2016 – Executive search firm Diversified Search, one of the top 10 executive search firms in the U.S., has appointed Martha Hauser as the new leader of its healthcare practice. She will based in the firm’s Atlanta office.
Ms. Hauser is a well-known thought leader with more than two decades of experience recruiting leaders in healthcare and higher education across the country. She has earned a national reputation as a visionary and innovative thinker.
Her clients include some of the country’s most prestigious hospitals, healthcare systems, academic medical centers, and service providers in the field, a list that includes Beaumont Health, Carolinas Healthcare System, Sentara Healthcare, Emory Healthcare, and the East Carolina School of Medicine, among others.
Before joining Diversified, Ms. Hauser served Witt/Kieffer, where she opened the firm’s Atlanta office and served as partner and regional director. Prior to that, she served as regional healthcare industry specialist for Spencer Stuart.

BioQuest Acquisition
This news follows on the heels of Diversified’s recent acquisition of San Francisco-based BioQuest, a recruiting boutique specialist serving healthcare innovators in the life sciences market.
With more than 30 years in the industry, BioQuest has built leadership teams for innovative companies in medicine, science, and technology. The firm is expected to open up a number of key constituents to its new parent, including emerging and established medical device, biotechnology, diagnostic, pharmaceutical, healthcare IT and consumer medical companies across all executive level management functions. This sector expertise will compliment Diversified’s existing healthcare and life sciences practice groups.

High Growth Sector for Recruiters
Healthcare is among the most rapidly growing employment fields, according to analysts at Hunt Scanlon Media which tracks trends in the executive search and leadership solutions space.
According to the most recent U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics report, healthcare employment continued to trend up during the month (+14,000). Hospitals added 11,000 jobs, and employment in ambulatory healthcare services trended up (+13,000).
