Diversified Search Group Appoints Senior Leader
September 18, 2023 – Diversified Search Group (DSG), a leading search firm backed by private equity firm ShoreView Industries, has named Megan Shattuck as global managing partner of its corporate business. Drawing on over 25 years of experience in media, journalism, and advising Fortune 500 public and private company CEOs and boards, she will lead Diversified Search Group’s global corporate business across executive search, board advisory and governance, corporate affairs, client development, and the expansion of products and partnerships contributing to the growth of the firm. Ms. Shattuck, who will be based in New York, joins as a member of the executive management team and will work closely with CEO Aileen Alexander.

Ms. Shattuck has a track record of advising leadership teams with advice across performance, culture, and talent advisory. She has conducted hundreds of board director and executive search assignments representing a range of industries spanning Fortune 10 to pre-IPO. She has expertise in company transformation, board advisory, corporate governance, corporate affairs, and reputational risk management.
Ms. Shattuck was most recently with Teneo, a global CEO advisory firm, where she founded, built, and led the talent advisory business and served on the firm’s leadership team. As president of talent, she generated significant new business, advanced the firm’s growth goals by recruiting senior leaders to Teneo, and developed agile products and capabilities with a focus on execution and value creation. Over her eight years at Teneo, she placed C-suite executives and board members across sectors and counseled CEOs, boards, and senior leadership teams of multi-national corporations on talent advisory matters, board and governance issues, and reputational management.

Ms. Shattuck formerly was a senior client partner at Korn Ferry and a member of the board and CEO practice and corporate affairs center of expertise. She specialized in recruiting senior executives across a broad range of industries. Ms. Shattuck played a key role in the expansion of the board and CEO practice and corporate affairs center of expertise globally.
Diversified Search Group Appoints Leaders for Education Practice
Diversified Search Group (DSG) has announced that managing directors, Jim Sirianni, and Susan VanGilder, will co-lead the firm’s education practice following the retirement of its current leader, Shelly Storbeck, who will remain with the firm as a strategic advisor. “Over the last three years, our education practice has grown significantly, and it’s a testament to Shelly’s leadership and our tremendous team who serve as trusted advisers to some of the nation’s most prestigious educational institutions,” said Aileen Alexander, CEO of Diversified Search Group. “We are delighted that Susan and Jim will be leading our highly recognized education practice. They will work closely with our colleagues to continue delivering high-quality service and outcomes for our clients.”
Prior to joining Korn Ferry in 2006, Ms. Shattuck covered The White House for the Cable News Network (CNN). As a White House producer, she was a member of the press corps, reporting on the Clinton and Bush administrations. Her responsibilities included: conducting interviews with administration officials, producing long- and short-form pieces, and leading White House coverage during breaking news situations. Her work with John King, “CNN Presents: 9/11,” was nominated for an Emmy. Previously, Ms. Shattuck was an associate producer for “CNN NewsStand,” a long format, nightly news program. Earlier in her career, she worked at The American School in Japan.
Ms. Shattuck is a current member (and past chair) of the board of directors of Children’s Rights, which is focused on improving America’s child welfare, juvenile justice, education, and healthcare systems. She is a member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO) and serves on the Gotham Chapter executive committee.
