DHR Global Expands in Seoul Office

September 30, 2025 – Talent advisory firm DHR Global has expanded with the addition of David Cho as a partner in the industrial, technology and private equity practice groups, based in the Seoul office.

“We are delighted to welcome David back to DHR Global,” said Philippe Tirault, managing partner, Korea. “His ability to advise clients across technology, industrial, and private equity sectors, combined with his deep relationships in the Korean market, strengthens our platform and brings added value to both local and global clients.”

Mr. Cho advises clients on building leadership teams that drive organizational growth and improve retention, with a focus on aligning talent strategies to business objectives. “By immersing himself in each client’s culture, he develops solutions that strengthen organizational infrastructure and create long-term stability,” DHR said. “He brings the same passion for career development to his client work, guiding top talent as they navigate their professional journeys.”

“I am excited to rejoin DHR Global and contribute to the firm’s continued growth in Korea and across Asia,” said Mr. Cho. “Helping organizations find transformative leaders, while supporting top executives as they advance their careers, is the most rewarding part of my work.”

Prior to rejoining DHR, Mr. Cho worked with a local search firm in Korea, recruiting executives across finance, sales, marketing, and engineering in industries including web technology, global information technology, and consumer and retail. Earlier in his career, he served as CEO of Forza Motors Korea (FMK), an importer of Italian luxury auto brands, and as country manager of Double A.

Since 1989, DHR Global has been a leading, privately held provider of executive search solutions with more than 50 wholly owned offices spanning the globe. The firm’s consultants specialize in all industries and functions, providing senior-level executive search, management assessment, and succession planning services.

First Woman, Nonfamily Member CEO

DHR recently appointed Priya Taneja as CEO. She succeeded Geoff Hoffmann, who has transitioned to the role of chairman of the board. This milestone marks a historic moment for the firm, as Ms. Taneja becomes the first nonfamily CEO in DHR’s 36-year history signaling a deliberate step forward as the firm accelerates into the next era of growth. She also became the third woman and first of color to run a top 10 executive search firm. Founded in 1989 by the family patriarch David Hoffmann, DHR last saw a leadership transition in 2012 when Geoff succeeded David as CEO.

“Priya is a dynamic, trusted, and forward-thinking leader,” said Mr. Hoffmann. “She brings a rare ability to lead a global firm while staying deeply connected to our people, our culture, and our stakeholders. This transition has been thoughtfully considered for some time, and I couldn’t be prouder to see her step into this role. She’s the ideal leader for our next chapter, and I’m confident to know that the firm is in exceptionally capable hands.”
