Coulter Partners Announces New Senior Management Team
June 17, 2024 – Life sciences recruiting specialist Coulter Partners has announced a strategic leadership transition and the reorganization of its senior leadership team. Effective immediately, Bianca Coulter, co-founder and current CEO, will assume the full-time role of executive chair; Nicholas Green will take up the reins as CEO; Joe Coulter, co-founder, will take a broadened chief operating officer role; Charlotte James becoming chief of staff and operations; and James Bichener will serve as chief financial officer.

Ms. Coulter founded Coulter Partners in 2003 and has 25 years’ experience of board and C-level global search, building the leadership teams of early stage, mid-cap, and global multinationals in over 20 countries. Through appointing leadership, Ms. Coulter channels her judgment and expertise to impact patient benefit and assist those at the cutting edge of life science to achieve their goals.
Mr. Green began his career in executive search in 2000, joining Coulter during its start-up phase in London. In 2013, he relocated to the U.S. to lead the expansion of the North American business. Specializing in the life sciences and health-tech sectors, Mr. Green leverages his extensive networks across North America and Europe to collaborate with industry leaders, private equity and venture investors. He focuses on candidate assessment, attracting top-tier talent and helping to curate world-class leadership teams. Mr. Green is based in New York.

Since co-founding Coulter Partners in 2003, Mr. Coulter has steered operations and finance, with a special focus on quality client service and operational delivery. Responsible for the creation of the company’s bespoke knowledge management system, IT platform and data analytics, he also oversees knowledge management and marketing. With primary responsibility for growth and strategic development of the company, Mr. Coulter draws on previous extensive SME experience, gained largely in the interior design sector.

Ms. James has over 15 years of experience as a dedicated business operations leader, driving efficiency and effectiveness in day-to-day operations across start-up and corporate environments. She has a track record of success in developing and implementing business strategy, leading functional departments with diverse teams across multiple international markets. Ms. James excels at executing company-wide projects and business transformation programs with significant budget management accountability. She is a specialist in developing, implementing and optimizing business strategies and operational processes that empower the company to achieve its commercial objectives. Ms. James also has extensive large-scale and technical project management expertise, including establishing a U.K. start-up and implementing company-wide procedures and practices.
Coulter Partners Forms Alliance with the Institute of Neurodiversity
Coulter Partners has formed a partnership with the Institute of Neurodiversity (ION). As a global neurodiversity changemaking organization and community, ION looks to foster awareness, acceptance, and appreciation of neurodiversity. Mr. Bichener is a strategic finance and business lead that supports senior management. He has experience in global financial planning, analysis and reporting to drive growth and steer operational strategy. He joined Coulter Partners in 2016, based in London, drawing on over 18 years of extensive financial expertise in executive search gained with Russell Reynolds Associates, first as U.K. financial controller and subsequently European finance director. Mr. Bichener has broad and diverse experience of growing regional revenues, establishing new international offices, and implementing new systems and procedures. Prior to Russell Reynolds Associates, he spent four years with the BBC as finance manager.
