Carmichael Fisher Leading Chief Risk Officer Search for PayPal
August 2, 2016 – Executive search firm Carmichael Fisher has been retained by PayPal to lead its search for a new chief risk officer for the company’s Hong Kong business. Carmichael Fisher principal, Jonathan Harper, who placed PayPal’s Australian chief risk officer is leading the search.
As PayPal’s Asian presence expands, the worldwide online payments concern is seeking a new chief risk officer to manage its burgeoning Hong Kong operations. The changing regulatory landscape means that global businesses like PayPal are under increasing pressure to better manage their regulatory and risk exposures. As a result, seasoned risk leadership is growing in demand.
This role at PayPal will be based out of the company’s Singapore head office and will have oversight of the local enterprise risk as well as being charged with leading the design of local processes to integrate, aggregate, analyze and report meaningful risk and exposure information to the company’s chief executive in Hong Kong, its board and the APAC risk committee.
