Calibre One Creates Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Regulatory Practice Group

November 14, 2023 – Executive search firm Calibre One has launched a new legal, compliance, risk and regulatory practice group. The firm has hired Paul DeCoster as a partner and leader of the new practice working from the firm’s New York City office. “Nearly every industry has a need for legal, regulatory and compliance officers, and with Paul’s extensive law background coupled with his successful executive search career, he’s the perfect fit for our new legal, compliance, risk management and regulatory practice,” said Tom Barnes, managing partner. “We’re confident Paul’s drive, enthusiasm and experience will lead this new practice to much success for Calibre One and the clients he serves.”

In his new position, Mr. DeCoster will focus primarily on legal, compliance and regulatory search mandates predominantly in financial services and across multiple industries including life sciences and technology. He will also work with start-ups hiring their first chief compliance or regulatory officers and general counsel.

Most recently, Mr. DeCoster was with Sheffield Haworth where he was an executive director within its global functions practice focusing on legal, compliance, risk management and regulatory affairs executive search. Prior to that, he was with Marlin Hawk where he served as the North American practice lead for legal, risk, compliance and information security executive search within the financial services sector. Additionally, Mr. DeCoster began his executive search career as a consultant with Russell Reynolds within its global banking markets and legal practices.

With the health of employees, customers, partners and communities becoming critical to among healthcare organizational, Dr. Greenspun focuses primarily on placing chief medical officers, board positions, and similar executives across nearly every industry.

Earlier this year, Calibre One expanded with the opening of a new office in Boston. Molly A. Robb, who heads the location, was added as partner specializing in the firm’s healthcare and life sciences practice and working closely with Christos Richards who leads the practice from the west coast. “Between Molly and Christos’ top-notch skills and experience in placing healthcare and life sciences CEOs, C-suite and board professionals, we have truly created a bicoastal dream team,” said Mr. Barnes.

Ms. Robb was previously a managing director with BioQuest, part of the Diversified Search Group, working in both the life sciences sector recruiting senior-level operating leaders and as a member of the financial services practice where she recruited healthcare investors into public and private capital investment funds. Additionally, she has worked at Heidrick & Struggles in the healthcare private equity and venture capital practice and with Korn Ferry in its life sciences practice.
