BroadView Talent Partners Recruits President and CEO for Baltimore Community Lending

September 4, 2026 – Following a comprehensive national search led by BroadView Talent Partners, Baltimore Community Lending, Inc. (BCL) has hired Calvin Gladney as president and CEO. Tracy McMillan, Robyn Quinn, and Donna Young led the assignment.

He succeeds longtime Watchen Harris-Bruce, whose leadership has strengthened BCL’s position as a leading community development financial institution (CDFI) dedicated to expanding access to capital and creating opportunities throughout Baltimore. “Serving Baltimore through this work has been very rewarding,” said Ms. Harris-Bruce. “What we have built at BCL is a mission-driven organization grounded in community, partnership, and impact. I am incredibly proud of how far we’ve come and confident in handing over the reins to Calvin.”

Mr. Gladney brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across the non-profit, public, and private sectors, with a focus on community revitalization, economic development, strategic partnerships, and mission-driven innovation. Most recently, he served as president and CEO of Smart Growth America, a national nonprofit dedicated to advancing equitable community and economic development. During his tenure, he expanded the organization’s national impact by securing major philanthropic investments, strengthening strategic partnerships, and advancing initiatives focused on equitable real estate development and small business growth.

Mr. Gladney also serves on the board of directors of the Low-Income Investment Fund (LIIF), one of the nation’s largest CDFIs, where over the past five years he has provided strategic oversight on complex lending decisions, risk management practices, and organizational growth strategies. “His experience within the CDFI sector and commitment to community-centered solutions will position him well to lead BCL into its next chapter,” the organization said.

BroadView Talent Partners Recruits CEO for the Freestore Foodbank

BroadView Talent Partners has assisted in the recruitment of Kreg Keesee as the new president and CEO of the Freestore Foodbank. Christie Angel, Melania DaSilva Deaver, Donna Young, and Robyn Quinn led the assignment. “Kreg brings a proven track record of building high-performing teams and turning strategy into action,” board chair Dwinelva Zackery said. “We are confident he is the right leader to guide Freestore into its next chapter.” Most recently, Mr. Keesee served as interim chief financial and operating officer at The Springer School and Center.

Ms. Quinn, vice president and senior research associate, is an experienced research and recruiting professional with a demonstrated history of accomplishments within the executive search and corporate recruiting sectors. Her areas of industry expertise include non-profit, healthcare and fundraising/development.

Ms. Young manages BroadView Talent Partners’ administrative, organizational, search and candidate logistical support. She specializes in project management, customer relationships, marketing, social media, client/corporate communications, graphic design, and sales. Ms. Young was a founder/partner of Interrobang Design, a design firm based in NYC, with clients such as Random House, Tourneau, and Unilever.
