Boyden Appoints Managing Partner for Interim Management Practice

November 19, 2015 – Executive search firm Boyden has added Simon Gough to its U.K. office as managing partner of its interim management practice.

“We’re thrilled that Simon has joined Boyden to lead our interim management business,” said John Ellis, a Boyden board member and managing partner of Boyden U.K. “Interim will continue to play a pivotal role in our growth strategy in the U.K. and globally, as many more clients are seeing the benefits that it can offer alongside permanent recruitment solutions. Simon has an outstanding record in interim management and I am excited to have him join our leadership team.”

Previously, Mr. Gough served a nine-year tenure as a partner with Interim Partners, a leading global provider of executive interim managers, where he focused on the private equity and advisory sectors in both pre- and post-deal situations. He has worked with clients including TDR Capital, Lion Capital, Oaktree, Phoenix Equity Partners, Endless, AEA Investors and Northedge Capital placing executive chairmen, CEOs, CFOs, COOs, managing directors, chief restructuring officers and other senior interim executives.

Companies have been ramping up their requests for interim management services as shifting demographics and a strengthening economy has caused a wave a movement among executives in recent months. This has caused search firms and other companies that provide interim services to focus more on the sector and expand their offerings to clients.

Tatum, a Randstad company and leading interim services and executive consulting firm, recently hired Eric Marin as a client service partner in the firm’s Houston office. He is responsible for developing Tatum’s business in the Houston market with a specific focus on CFO and CIO services. In addition, this past August, Tatum added Barbara Haith as a client services partner serving the New England region and Clint Williams as a client service partner serving Atlanta and the Southeastern U.S. She has more than 20 years of experience delivering professional services and workforce solutions to the middle market and Fortune 1000 companies.

Global search firm Wilton & Bain appointed Chloe Watts as a partner in its management solutions division WBMS. Her expertise is in providing commercial organizations with interim managers across management disciplines but with a specialization in sourcing HR interim executives.

Penna recently became the U.K. member firm of Senior Management Worldwide (SMW), an international executive interim network. Joining the network of 15 partners has enabled Penna’s executive recruitment and interim division to expand its international reach and support other interim businesses in the SMW network with sourcing interim executives and managers for opportunities in the U.K. and solutions globally.

And B.E. Smith named Cathi Blise as VP, leadership advisor for the firm’s interim leadership and advisory services division. She leads a number of interim and consulting executives nationwide who focus on providing leadership solutions for B. E. Smith clients and supports healthcare providers in Wisconsin, Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Utah and Idaho.
