October 6, 2022 – Executive recruiters are in hot pursuit of chief human resource officers and other senior-level HR leaders across the nation. Why such pent-up demand for top flight HR experts? Corporate leaders want HR leaders who are sophisticated, proactive, and strategic-minded, with strong business savvy to drive their people capabilities like they would a P&L, according to executive recruiters. CEOs, in particular, want their HR leaders to proactively recommend a host of forward-thinking initiatives that will provide a competitive advantage. Recently, Blue Rock Search assisted in the recruitment of Akeem Joseph as the new vice president of global talent acquisition for LiveRamp in Sarasota, FL. Director Brian Cox led the assignment.
“Blue Rock was pleased to assist LiveRamp with this search to identify their next vice president of global talent acquisition,” said Mr. Cox. “Building an effective team and a people-first strategy is critical to the growth of any organization, and it takes transformative leadership to achieve remarkable results. Akeem Joseph brings decades of experience to the intersection of technology and recruiting, and we are excited to see him make a difference at LiveRamp.”
Mr. Joseph joins LiveRamp after spending the last few years at ServiceNow, where he was the director of talent acquisition, leading the company’s first technical recruiting function for engineering, product, and design. Prior to that, he served as director of talent acquisition at Johnson & Johnson, building and leading the company’s first technical recruiting function for Supply Chain Digital. He has spent two decades in talent acquisition and HR for technical-focused teams.
LiveRamp is the leading data connectivity platform, empowering companies to utilize data to transform customer experiences that lead to better outcomes. In recent years, LiveRamp has strengthened its leadership and culture with successful new hires, the creation of employee resource groups, a diversity, inclusion, and belonging council, and other initiatives that have earned the company spots on industry best-of lists, including those of Inc. and Fortune.

Blue Rock Search has been undergoing a period of growth, with multiple new initiatives underway, including the expansion of its Sarasota corporate headquarters office and the launch of new practice areas in response to market demand.
Blue Rock Search is a 100 percent minority/female-owned executive search firm. As a member of the SRA Network, the firm is also a Hunt Scanlon HR/Diversity Recruiting Power 65 recruiter. Recruiting HR Leaders in an Evolving Workplace
From people analytics to employer branding, HR departments are evolving at breakneck speed to meet recruitment and retention challenges. No longer is HR about record keeping and rote rule enforcement. Today’s human resource leaders play a critical role improving business performance through employer branding, strategic recruitment and retention, and talent optimization.
After a 25-year career in corporate human resources and HR executive search, Ruben Moreno and his two partners co-founded Blue Rock Search based on a simple but ambitious vision of creating a firm that would “change lives and organizations one relationship at a time.” Mr. Moreno leads the Blue Rock HR executive search practice specializing in the identification, assessment, recruitment, and onboarding of chief HR officers and chief diversity officers and their respective teams — inclusive of leaders in talent acquisition, total rewards, HRBP’s, learning & OD, HR technology, HR operations, and HR analytics. Mr. Moreno has helped place hundreds of HR executives and built deep relationships within the CHRO community across multiple industry verticals.
As managing director, executive search, Mr. Cox brings knowledge from his former senior leadership roles with Franklin Covey and CSX Corporation. Having led the talent acquisition and organizational development functions for a $4 billion private equity owned organization, he has a qualified perspective on crafting overall human resource strategies including talent acquisition, employee relations, OD, and learning and development.
