Amrop Expands in EMEA and Asia-Pacific

January 2, 2023 – Global recruiting organization Amrop has strengthened its European and APAC consulting team with new partner hires in Portugal, Italy, and Singapore.

Filipe Morais joins Amrop as an independent partner in Portugal. He becomes a core member of Amrop’s global board services practice. Mr. Morais is an expert on board governance and has published books, academic and practitioner articles, reports, and case studies on the subject. He holds a doctorate in board governance and strategic leadership. He is a professor of governance and reputation at Henley Business School (U.K.), where he also is the program director for the master of science program in management for future leaders. He teaches board governance, strategic leadership and corporate responsibility, and ethics at Henley, INSEAD, and other business schools.

Graziella Capellini joins Amrop as a partner – board advisory, Italy. She brings 20 years’ experience as head of compliance in major financial institutions such as Unicredit, Morgan Stanley, and Merrill Lynch. Ms. Capellini has acted as senior advisor for consultancy firms such as Accenture and Nike Consulting. She also supported various financial and fintech companies in setting up and re-engineering their internal control systems. Ms. Capellini has deep knowledge and experience in corporate governance, internal control systems, remuneration, and regulatory related matters in the financial sector. She serves as independent director and company statutory auditor for asset managers, insurance companies, investment firms, and fintech companies.

Roland Muller joins Amrop as a partner in Singapore. He has over 20 years of leadership experience in HR management across various markets and continents, primarily in the financial services industry. A long-term trusted advisor to his business partners, Mr. Muller focuses on talent management and building high-performing leadership teams. He works with his business partners to provide talent solutions to address next-generation leadership and transformational challenges. Prior to joining Amrop, Mr. Muller worked at financial services institutions such as UBS, Credit Suisse, Société Générale, ABN Amro, and most recently, Standard Chartered Bank. He has also spent time at SoftBank Investment Advisors, the private equity arm of the SoftBank conglomerate. Over the years, his work has taken him across the globe, working in Europe, the U.S., and Asia.

New Vienna Office

Amrop recently added Gabriele Gradnitzer and Sandra Schrögenauer to represent the Amrop brand and business in Austria. The executive search and leadership veterans will operate the new company under the global Amrop brand, with offices located at Karlsplatz in Vienna’s first district. They are joined by a team of six consultants and researchers offering executive search and leadership advisory services with a focus on top management functions. The firm’s clients include multinational corporations as well as medium-sized, owner-managed companies and private foundations.

Ms. Gradnitzer and Ms. Schrögenauer take over Amrop’s Austrian business from Günther Tengel, who will take on the role of international senior advisor to the firm and will accompany the business transition with selected longstanding clients.
