AltoPartners Adds Colombian Search Firm to Network
September 4, 2020 – AltoPartners, the international alliance of boutique executive search and leadership consulting firms, has expanded its global footprint with the addition of Colombian search firm Executive Connection.
Founded in 2011, Executive Connection is a professional services firm with offices in both Bogota and Cali. The founding partners have experience working in global organizations and are able to offer a variety of executive search, talent management and board advisory solutions designed to meet the macro challenges of the organization.
“Executive Connection has a reputation as a leading executive search and advisory consultancy that is committed to delivering assignments that add-value to their clients’ businesses,” AltoPartners said. “Using well thought-through systems and processes, and their innate understanding of local market factors underpinned by global best practice, the team has steered clients through challenging times.”
Santiago Solis Arias, founding partner of Executive Connection, has more than 20 years of experience in companies dedicated to the selection of senior executives. He currently leads senior management processes for companies in the industrial, mass consumption, technology, health and financial services sectors.
Maria Isabel Ventura Torres is general manager and partner of Executive Connection. She previously worked as senior associate of Heidrick & Struggles Colombia SA in the Bogotá office, in charge of the commercial part of the firm and member of the health sciences practice.
Elsa María Solís Arias is partner of Executive Connection and is responsible for positioning the firm as a strategically for companies in the search, evaluation and selection of executives in first and second level positions.
Opportunities In Crisis
“They say that there are always opportunities in crisis,” said Ms. Ventura Torres. “Thankfully this is our biggest understanding during this challenging time. It is with great honor, excitement and expectation that our team returns to AltoPartners. Looking forward to learning, sharing and growing together.”
“I am delighted to welcome the team from Executive Connection into the global AltoPartners family,” said Stephen Dallamore, global chairman of AltoPartners. “We continue to enhance the global reach and value of the alliance and 2020 has proven to be a significant year of growth for our alliance through the addition of partners in Mexico, Hong Kong, Spain, Morocco and now Colombia.”
Bogotá is the main economic and industrial center of Colombia. The financial sector has grown favorably because of good liquidity in the economy, the growth of credit and the positive performance of the Colombian economy. The Colombian Stock Exchange through the Latin American Integrated Market (MILA) offers a regional market to trade equities. Colombia is now one of only three economies with a perfect score on the strength of legal rights index, according to the World Bank.

Headed by Simeon Fowler and supported by Katie Brunt, managing director and head of APAC, Fowler Fox & Co strengthens AltoPartners’ presence in Asia, “and greatly amplifies our global financial services practice and international client impact,” the organization said. The addition expands AltoPartners’ footprint to 56 offices across 32 countries.
“Simeon Fowler is widely regarded as one of most experienced head hunters in the private banking sector and has earned the trust and respect of senior executives in the industry,” AltoPartners said. He has spent the last decade assisting clients to manage their global talent requirements and provide them with executive search, M&A advisory and board-level succession planning services. Mr. Fowler founded Fowler Fox & Co in 1999.
