WittKieffer Tapped by Premier Health to Find New CFO

May 17, 2021 – WittKieffer has been retained by Premier Health in Baton Rouge, LA, to lead its search for a new chief financial officer. Donna Padilla, managing partner and leader of WittKieffer’s healthcare practice, is spearheading the search along with Jim King, chief quality officer as well as the leader of the board services and children’s hospitals practices, and Andrew Trechsel, senior associate. The search firm said the role is a unique opportunity to join a well-established organization currently enjoying tremendous growth, and partnering with some of the country’s most successful and respected health systems.

Premier Health’s CFO will lead and manage the overall financial stewardship and strategy of the organization to ensure it reaches its full operating performance potential, as well as be a key player in innovating and transforming patient care and the delivery of healthcare. As part of the executive team, the CFO will drive the company’s short and long-term financial planning, identify trends, risks and opportunities, and provide the right insights to create customer and partner value.

WittKieffer also says that the CFO will have an active role in partnership development, acquisitions, implementation, and analyzing competitor positioning. The CFO will also help to manage risk while driving value and enterprise-wide business objectives and strategies.

“The successful candidate will have the ability to leverage their financial acumen along with visionary leadership and an entrepreneurial spirit,” WittKieffer said. “Finance executives who have been successful in start-up, private equity, urgent care, medical group or acute care environments will be highly considered.” Due to the complex partnerships of Premier Health, EQ, team orientation, active listening skills, and the ability to create strong, lasting relationships is necessary. In addition, the firm said that “out of the box thinkers who want to reap the benefits of a high-potential startup, but with a well-established company, will find their home here.”
