WilsonHCG Appoints Executive Search Leader for EMEA

WilsonHCG Executive Search EMEA Phil Brakewell

May 24, 2018 – Global talent solutions provider Wilson Human Capital Group Inc. (WilsonHCG) has expanded its executive search division with the appointment of director Phil Brakewell. He will serve as leader of the EMEA region.

Mr. Brakewell has more than 14 years of talent acquisition leadership experience and most recently served as head of executive search for ResourceBank. Prior to that, he held consultant and resourcing leadership positions at Hitchenor Wakeford and the Caudwell Group, where he was responsible for developing the business internationally and drove innovative search solutions on behalf of a diverse range of clients.

“WilsonHCG tailors its key service offerings – including executive search – to suit individual client needs, and I am thrilled to be part of such a dedicated, innovative team,” said Mr. Brakewell. “The new director position, covering EMEA, demonstrates our commitment to both executive search and WilsonHCG clients across the region.”

Mr. Brakewell will work alongside Jonathan Edwards, WilsonHCG vice president of executive search, who has led the division since April 2017. Over the past year, the team has quadrupled in size and expanded its footprint and solutions across the globe. Over the last two years, WilsonHCG has seen revenue double year-on-year.

“I can’t believe how much the division has grown in such a short space of time,” said Mr. Edwards. “We’ve experienced amazing growth and will be building on this success for years to come. Phil’s expertise will help us drive growth in the EMEA region as our executive search practice continues to expand globally.”

Based in Tampa, WilsonHCG specializes in recruitment process outsourcing, talent consulting and executive search. It has more than 700 employees serving clients across six continents and 37 countries.

Recently, the company secured an undisclosed amount of funding from private equity firm CIP Capital. The investment enables WilsonHCG to accelerate global growth and strengthen its talent solutions and technologies.

“We are very excited to announce our partnership with CIP Capital,” said John Wilson, CEO of WilsonHCG. “It will provide us with the capability to continue focusing on innovation, while further strengthening WilsonHCG’s position around the world. CIP Capital shares a unique commitment to growth, partnership and people – highly similar to our vision here at WilsonHCG – making the decision to join forces both easy and exciting.”

IRC Global Appoints EMEA Leader
IRC Global Executive Search Partners (IRC) has named Tomasz Sokolowski, vice president of IRC Poland (HBK), as its new EMEA regional leader. He takes over from Gaye Özcan, managing partner of IRC Turkey and EMEA regional leader since 2014.

Bobby Kelly, managing director of CIP Capital, said his group was looking forward to partnering with the talent management firm. “WilsonHCG has developed a highly differentiated offering in the recruitment process outsourcing and outsourced talent solutions market, enabling companies to efficiently solve the increasingly difficult and critical task of finding and retaining employees,” he said. “John and his team have created a culture of unwavering dedication to customer service while assisting clients across a broad range of talent acquisition needs.”

Last year, WilsonHCG added Jonathan Edwards to its leadership team as vice president of executive search. He is responsible for leading the organization’s global executive search efforts, talent development and continuous process improvement to cultivate the company’s global offering. Mr. Edwards is an executive search and talent acquisition strategist with over 11 years of recruitment consulting and analyst experience.
