Tyler & Company Seeks New Leader for Peterson Health

January 18, 2019 – Healthcare is among the most rapidly growing employment fields, according to analysts at Hunt Scanlon Media, which tracks trends in the executive search and leadership solutions space. A number of healthcare organizations have turned to executive search firms to find new leaders in recent months.

Recently, Atlanta-based executive recruitment firm Tyler & Company was selected by Peterson Health in Kerrville, TX, to lead its search for a new president and CEO. Vice president Marion Spears Karr is heading the assignment along with senior consultant Charlotte Tinsley.

“We welcome Peterson Health as our newest client and we are delighted to conduct this search and build a lasting relationship with an organization who values their community,” said Tyler & Company.

The organization is seeking a visionary leader who understands the shifting trends from inpatient services to outpatient services and how it will affect the financial health of the organization. “The CEO must be focused on growth, and also committed to keeping Peterson Health independent,” Tyler & Company said. “The CEO will have five years of experience as a CEO within an acute-care hospital of a similar size or as COO of a larger hospital organization.” Candidates must have substantial experience in building and leading outpatient services, physician practices and other external entities, according to the job specification.

The incoming leader will be charged with providing strategic direction and leading the day-to-day operations of the medical center, its services, and properties while establishing a system for assuring that high-quality care is provided, said Tyler & Company.

Peterson Regional Medical Center, established in 1949, is an independent, not-for-profit healthcare facility, which provides jobs for about 900 full-time employees and over 250 medical professionals. The medical center is also one of the largest employers in Kerr County.

“Peterson is a phenomenal organization,” said Mr. Karr. “They live out their mission – exceptional, compassionate, patient centered care – in everything they do. I was blown away with their commitment to serving their community.”
