October 19, 2018 – TRANSEARCH International has strengthened its presence in Asia Pacific by opening a new office in Indonesia, adding Davehunt International, a boutique human capital consultancy firm, to its fold. Davehunt specializes in quality senior-level executive search, training, consulting, assessment, coaching and outsourcing.
The team in Jakarta is headed by chief executive officer David Wongso and senior consultant Maria Magdalena.
Mr. Wongso has 23 years’ experience finding leaders and senior-level talent for financial institutions, conglomerates, multinationals, state-owned enterprises and emerging Indonesian unicorns (e-commerce, digital corporations with valuations above $1 billion). Before launching his firm, Mr. Wongso was an HR and general services director at PT MNC Sky Vision and chief of human capital officer at Honey Lady Group.
Ms. Magdalena has 20 years’ corporate experience in human resources management with a focus on financial services but also retail, pharmaceutical and health services. She previously held various HR roles with PT Bank HSBC Indonesia.
“Maria and I are thrilled to be joining TRANSEARCH and we look forward to making a significant impact and contribution to leadership acquisition and development in Indonesia, predicted to become the world’s sixth largest economy by 2030,” said Mr. Wongso. “Indonesia has a huge talent demand and faces ongoing talent gaps, and we are privileged to be in a position to partner not only with our clients to help their businesses grow, but also with executive talent on their leadership journey.”
“Indonesia’s place in Asia Pacific and indeed within the world has never been more important, not only because of its strategic geographic location but because of its robust economy and society,” said Celeste Whatley, CEO of TRANSEARCH. “It has a huge potential to contribute greatly to the Asia economy in future. David Wongso and his team are a welcome addition to strengthening our Asia Pacific team. David is relentless in his pursuit of excellence and as such shares the TRANSEARCH values of delivering uncompromising quality service to our clients.”
Hiring Uptick In Southeast Asia Leads Search Firms to Expand

“With the continued resurgence of the Asian economy and our strategy of building an ‘Asia powerhouse’ to accommodate not only the needs of our clients in Asia, but also in the global marketplace,” Mr. Whatley said.
