Thrive Adds Ken Vancini as Industry Solutions Director

October 2, 2020 – Recruiting software provider Thrive TRM has expanded with the addition of executive search veteran Ken Vancini as director of industry solutions. “As a subject matter expert, Ken will be an incredible asset to Thrive and our customers,” said J. Reed Flesher, Thrive co-founder and chief product officer. “He has a passion for technology and understands the critical role it plays in the lives of today’s executive recruiters.”
In addition to thought leadership and solution design, Mr. Vancini will work closely on the development of strategic accounts as an expert resource and liaison. “Ken has a firm grasp on the biggest pain points and challenges executive search firms face on a daily basis,” Thrive said. “These invaluable insights will guide and help us prioritize advancements to Thrive’s products and services.”
“I am thrilled to join the Thrive team,” said Mr. Vancini. “I have followed the company for a while and could not be more impressed with the people and the product. I look forward to helping executive search firms in a whole new way.”
Executive Search Experience
Mr. Vancini brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from over two decades of working in the executive search industry. He was a founder of ZRG, now ranked by Hunt Scanlon Media as the 11th largest search firm in the Americas, in 1999 and ran the firm until 2015. After ZRG, Mr. Vancini founded Innova International, which was built to help executive search firms adapt, scale and grow by delivering exceptional advisory work.
“In my role with Thrive I will focus on thought leadership and solution design and working closely on the development of strategic accounts as an expert resource and liaison,” said Mr. Vancini. “From a young age, technology has always been a passion of mine. At this stage of my career Thrive is a perfect fit. I was convinced the Thrive team was the right company because every search firm I interacted with or consulted with who used the Thrive platform raved about it.”
Executive Search Industry Navigates a Crisis
Like industries across the country, and the world, executive search was devastated by the initial impact of the COVID-19 crisis. But a newly-released Q2 report on the industry by recruitment software developer Thrive suggests that recovery may be closer than many people expect.
Early on in the crisis, one Thrive survey revealed that nearly 80 percent of executive search leaders said they anticipated no growth for the remainder of the year. By the end of the first quarter, Thrive’s executive search data validated that outlook: In the last week of March, canceled and held searches increased by a breathtaking 766 percent and 340 percent, respectively.
Thrive is a software company that develops applications to assist recruiters and talent executives. Its features are designed to help talent executives spend less time managing a database and more time advising the hiring team. The company works with executive search firms, in-house corporate recruitment teams and venture capital/private equity firms to help them manage passive candidate networks and hire top talent.
