The Moran Company Seeking CEO for YWCA Northeast Kansas
March 26, 2024 – The Moran Company, an executive recruitment firm that specializes in the non-profit sector, has been retained by YWCA Northeast Kansas to lead in its search for a new CEO. Senior search consultant Brandi Fisher is leading the assignment. YWCA Northeast Kansas is seeking a CEO who can build on the organization’s successes as a leader in innovative services to break the cycle of intimate partner violence and drive anti-racist transformation. The YWCA Northeast Kansas has an operating budget of $3.3 million. The new leader will work with a committed and growing staff of over 50, a talented senior leadership team of five, and 15 dedicated members of the board of directors to advance the mission of the organization and continue to deepen the YWCA’s impact in the community.

- Confident and skilled fundraiser with a track record of success;
- Master communicator and relationship builder who will cultivate meaningful relationships with donors, volunteers, and community partners;
- A dynamic staff leader who will mentor, support and lift-up staff and create a positive and healthy work culture;
- Experience in the non-profit sector with an abundance (vs. a scarcity) mindset
- Experience with finance, operations and budgeting, including building and executing earned income strategies;
- Experience managing or operating in an environment that has a 24 x 7 service delivery cycle;
- Experience with early childhood programming, domestic violence, trauma- responsive care is helpful as is a background with shelter and daycare operational and licensure qualifications.

The Moran Company Recruits New Leader for Ronald McDonald House Charities
The Moran Company has assisted in the recruitment of Lori Jones as executive director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Four States. She replaced Annette Thurston, who retired at the end of 2023 after 26 years. She has two decades of experience working on community engagement initiatives at the local, regional and national level. Ms. Fisher is the former chief executive of the MainStream Coalition, a nonpartisan, voter education and advocacy organization.
