The Millard Group Assists Language I/O with Chief Marketing Officer Search
February 12, 2024 – As organizations becomes more complex and power shifts from producers of goods and services to consumers, the chief marketing officer’s job of planning and coordinating marketing activities has become more challenging — and much more influential. The Millard Group, which focuses on building executive teams for venture capital and private equity backed growth stage technology companies, has assisted in the placement of Sheridan Orr as the new chief marketing officer of Language I/O in Cheyenne, WY. “2023 marked a pivotal moment of expansion and visibility for Language I/O,” said Heather Shoemaker, founder and CEO of Language I/O. “With an amplified global marketing presence under Sheridan’s leadership, we are thrilled about the transformative potential of our 2024 roadmap to reshape how organizations connect across languages and geographies.”
Ms. Orr is an experienced marketing executive specializing in International go-to-market strategy, performance marketing, crafting powerful product and brand stories, and leading high performing teams for B2B SaaS companies. She previously served as a managing partner at The GTM Collective and was the chief marketing officer of Built In for over three years. Before these roles, Ms. Orr served as managing partners at Interrobang Partners, VP of marketing at CultureIQ, among other positions.
“Language I/O has the most innovative and secure approach to leveraging AI to connect companies and their customers across language barriers,” said Ms. Orr. “I look forward to working with the team to grow the brand and expand the business.”

The new funds have supported growth across the organization, including the machine learning team, which newly-appointed Daniel Bernazzani now leads as Machine Learning Architect, where he will be driving the company’s large language mode (LLM) strategy.
