The Loring Group Fills Senior Finance Role for XP Power 

August 31, 2020 – San Francisco, CA-headquartered executive search firm The Loring Group recruited Gerardo Adame as vice president of finance at XP Power. Managing partner Steve Caliger led the assignment.

“We learned many valuable lessons during this search that was impacted by COVID-19 that will benefit XP Power and others we work with going forward during the pandemic,” Mr. Caliger said.

Based in the company’s Sunnyvale, CA, headquarters, Mr. Adame will report directly to XP Powers’ chief financial officer Gavin Griggs in the U.K. and work closely with executive vice president Jay Warner. “Gerardo will provide finance and accounting leadership to support XP Power’s dynamic growth and fiscal discipline and rigor that will continue to drive the company’s profitability and success,” said Mr. Caliger.

Mr. Adame is a VP-level finance professional with more than 15 years of experience in accounting and finance in tech start-ups and global multi-billion-dollar organizations. He has experience in high growth companies leading finance organizations, including goal setting and financial metrics reporting to the board of directors, leading the annual operating plans and capital budget, cash flow management, income statement and balance sheet month-end closing and forecasting processes, variance explanation and long-range strategic planning. Mr. Adame is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Previously, Mr. Adame served as VP of finance, IT and enterprise systems at Tempo Automation. Before that he held the VP of finance position with Endless. He has also held top finance roles with The Climate Corporation, Monsanto Co. and CIE.

XP Power is a major supplier of critical power conversion technology to the medical, technology, industrial and defense markets. The company is listed on the London Stock Exchange.

The Loring Group focuses on industries sectors such as technology, consumer products, life sciences, financial services, construction and non-profit. The firm has recently completed searches in functional disciplines that include finance, engineering, sales, marketing, human resources and information technology.

Mr. Caliger has had a distinguished career as a sales leader and executive search consultant in the technology industry. He is a technology professional who has held leadership positions with several industry icons. With more than 20 years of executive search and consulting experience, Mr. Caliger develops senior leadership teams for sales, finance, product, engineering and information technology. In addition, he has done work for consumer products, financial services and non-profit organizations.

Mr. Kampmann has more than 16 years of executive search and leadership consulting expertise. In addition, he has 14 years of leadership experience in the banking and wealth management industries. Mr. Kampmann has performed hundreds of searches for companies around the world at executive and senior management levels. He has supported commercial banks, wealth and asset managers, for both publicly and privately held concerns. He has also done work for industrial and consumer products companies. Prior to The Loring Group, Mr. Kampmann worked for global executive firms such as Stanton Chase, was an equity partner with Boyden and started his executive search career as a principal with Korn Ferry.

After 20 years in the technology sector, Mr. Counts embarked on his executive search career, working with start-ups to multi-billion-dollar companies. Prior to The Loring Group, he worked for Stanton Chase and also ran his own boutique firm for more than 10 years. His recruiting practice focuses on chief- and VP-level technology, professional services and consumer product industries.
