The Lancer Group Recruits CHRO for Liquidity Services

October 21, 2026 – La Jolla, CA-headquartered search firm The Lancer Group recently assisted in the recruitment of Karen Fascenda as chief human resources officer of NASDAQ-traded Liquidity Services. Chairman and CEO Bill Angrick highlighted Ms. Fascenda’s strong track record of aligning talent strategies with business growth. “That alignment is what makes the appointment so compelling,” Mr. Angrick said. “Karen understands that people strategy is not separate from growth strategy. It is one of the primary ways a company turns its market opportunity into sustained performance.” Ms. Fascenda will report directly to Mr. Angrick and succeeds Novelette Murray, who is retiring after 16 years with Liquidity Services, including six years as CHRO.
“We are delighted to welcome Karen to Liquidity Services,” said Mr. Angrick. “She brings a wealth of experience and a strong track record of aligning talent strategies with business growth, and we look forward to her leadership as we continue to drive a better future for organizations, individuals, and the planet by using our marketplace platform to unleash opportunity for sellers and buyers.”

Before joining Udemy, Ms. Fascenda served as vice president, people, at GoPuff, a consumer goods and food delivery company, from June 2020 to January 2023. Before that, Ms. Fascenda held various positions at eBay, Inc. from June 2006 to January 2016.
“I am excited to join Liquidity Services at such an important time in its growth journey,” said Ms. Fascenda. “The company is a proven market leader with tremendous growth prospects and I look forward to working with the leadership team to build on the Company’s strong foundation to achieve its ambitions by attracting, retaining, developing and motivating the talented employees that drive Liquidity Services’ success.”
“The Lancer Group was proud to support this search,” the search firm said. “Congratulations to Karen and the entire Liquidity Services team.”
