TalentRISE Adds Technology and Analytics Expert

TalentRISE John Meyers

June 12, 2018 – Chicago-based executive search firm TalentRISE has expanded with the addition of John Meyers as senior director of technology operations.

“John possesses a unique blend of technical, business process and analytical skills and know-how,” said Rick Gray, CEO of TalentRISE. “He will help us more effectively manage, measure and scale our operational infrastructure and client service delivery while identifying how we best manage the technologies disrupting our industry for both our and our clients’ competitive advantage.”

Mr. Meyer brings more than 20 years of results-driven IT strategy and management experience creating and leading technology-based consulting and business initiatives grounded in reducing risk and driving enterprise value. He formerly served as a business and technology consultant to the League of Chicago Theatres and Datatopia. Prior to that, he was senior director of business systems for Acquity Group, where he led an enterprise resource planning implementation addressing the company’s core financial, accounting and business intelligence systems, and the rollout of Microsoft’s cloud-based Office 365 environment to replace existing intranet, instant messaging and email platforms. Before that, Mr. Meyer launched and served as CEO of Elexos Corporation, an early mover in the commercial and residential control automation and IOT fields. Earlier in his career, he was chief information officer of Lante Corp., a technology consulting firm and dot.com era high-flier.

In his role with TalentRISE, Mr. Meyer is charged with managing the firm’s IT infrastructure and related business process support systems. He will lead in the evaluation, implementation and integration of various technologies supporting the firm’s recruitment service offerings. Mr. Meyer will also lead the development of internal and client reporting tools to effectively measure and manage business performance.

Recently, the firm added Kathleen Murphy as managing director, healthcare and life sciences. Ms. Murphy’s executive search, recruitment and leadership coaching career spans more than 25 years with leading professional service organizations and Fortune 500 corporations. Since 2010, she has served as director of executive recruiting at Huron Consulting Group, a business consulting firm serving the healthcare, life sciences, higher education and other commercial markets.

Earlier this year, TalentRISE named Judy Walcott as director of client delivery. Over the past 10 years at WorldBridge Partners/WorldConcert, Ms. Walcott established the operations center for the firm’s recruitment process outsourcing division.

At the end of last year, the firm promoted search associate Beth Gordon to director of executive search. Ms. Gordon serves clients across the professional services, healthcare, banking & financial services, not-for-profit and manufacturing sectors. She brings 15 years of broad experience in full lifecycle executive search, covering a wide range of industries and functions. In addition, she has a previous background in outplacement services for military officers transitioning to the civilian workforce and administrative management.

TalentRISE also recently added Jose Martinez as managing director. Previously, Mr. Martinez served as vice president and Chicago market leader at North Highland, a global management consulting firm, where he was responsible for business development and growth of the region’s business.
