Stevenson Search Partners Names Head of Life Sciences Tools and Services

October 13, 2026 – Fort Lee, NJ-based Stevenson Search Partners, a global life science executive search firm and a Hunt Scanlon Top 50 ranked search firm, has named Allen Reed as partner and head of life sciences tools and services. “Allen’s breadth of experience will be a key asset to Stevenson,” said Kris Steen, president, executive search at Stevenson Search Partners. “His depth with PE-backed tools, enabling technology and services companies is a nice complement to our heavy biotech focus, and he has built C-suite and board-level teams for companies at every stage, from stealth-mode startups to global public companies. That range makes him an incredible addition to our team.”
Mr. Reed brings more than 25 years of executive search experience spanning nearly every corner of the industry, from CEOs, boards and CFOs to chief medical, scientific, business and information officers, along with senior commercial, sales, marketing, service and R&D leaders.
Mr. Reed has expertise working with private equity-backed tools, enabling technology and services companies in life sciences, a complement to Stevenson’s strong biotech focus. His broader client base is just as wide-ranging: innovative, high-growth biotech companies; large, established pharmaceutical, contract pharma services, medical device and diagnostics organizations; and publicly listed global companies. He has also built deep expertise and a strong network serving healthcare IT, software, AI and digital health clients.
Prior to joining Stevenson, Mr. Reed spent nearly five years at Heidrick & Struggles, most recently as global leader of the life science tools & services sector. Previously, he spent seven years as founder and president of Reed & Associates, a boutique retained search firm serving healthcare and life sciences clients and subsequently served as partner in the life sciences and healthcare practice at Odgers Berndtson. Mr. Reed began his search career at Russell Reynolds Associates, progressing to managing director, following an earlier role at the advisory board company.
“What drew me to Stevenson is the combination of a firm with real staying power and a team that still operates with the agility of a boutique,” said Mr. Reed. “With over 25 years in this industry, I know that what clients need most is a partner who understands the full picture, from the science to the business to the people who can lead through both. I’m excited to bring my network and experience, particularly with PE-backed tools and services businesses, to the team.”

Recent Partnership
Stevenson Search Partners and HAVEN, a leadership development advisory firm, recently created a strategic partnership under Tidemark Talent Solutions, a newly formed holding company focused on building an integrated human capital platform. Tidemark will seek to acquire and scale high-performing specialist firms in the human capital space while leveraging shared infrastructure, operational resources, and go-to-market strategy across the platform.
Stevenson Search Partners Expands
Stevenson Search Partners has expanded with the addition of Jim LoSapio to its on-demand talent solutions team as director, business development. “Jim has developed a strong understanding of the unique talent, consulting, and resource challenges facing life sciences organizations at various stages of growth,” Stevenson Search Partners said in a LinkedIn post. “His ability to build trusted client relationships, understand complex business needs, and develop tailored solutions has been a consistent theme throughout his career. At Stevenson, Jim will strengthen our ability to provide clients with flexible access to specialized talent that’s uniquely tailored to their business, programs, and stage of growth. We’re thrilled to have Jim’s expertise as we continue to expand our on-demand practice, delivering exceptional value and comprehensive solutions to our clients.”
Tidemark is led by Larry Dolinko, the current CEO of Stevenson Search Partners, who has been named CEO of Tidemark Talent Solutions, overseeing both entities in the platform. “Tidemark was built to address a gap we consistently saw in the market,” Mr. Dolinko said. “Companies often rely on multiple disconnected partners across the leadership lifecycle – one firm to assess talent, another to recruit executives and key talent, another to support onboarding and development. By bringing these capabilities together under one unified platform, we can provide clients with a more integrated, consistent approach to leadership and organizational performance.”
“The teams at HAVEN and Stevenson have collaborated for many years across a variety of mutual clients, making this a very natural partnership,” said Jennifer Marchi, founder of HAVEN. “By coming together under Tidemark, we are able to provide clients with a more integrated and comprehensive approach across the leadership lifecycle. We’ve long believed that finding the right leadership – be it through traditional search or on-demand – and developing that leadership are two sides of the same coin. By combining under Tidemark, we can now offer clients this range of services in a seamless, integrated way. This is what the market has been missing.”
