January 11, 2016 – London-based specialist recruiter The SR Group has acquired Maximum Management Corporation (MMC), a boutique HR recruitment firm based in New York. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition gives SR Group its first office in the U.S. and complements global offices in the U.K., Europe, Middle East, Asia and Australia.
As well as expanding the reach of its HR brand, Frazer Jones, the acquisition of Maximum Management provides a framework to launch its legal and compliance recruitment brand, Taylor Root, into the U.S. market. The firm also plans to push its specialist brands in the U.S., including Brewer Morris (tax & treasury), Carter Murray (marketing & sales) and SR Search (legal partner search).
Maximum Management will continue to be run by founders Melissa Brophy and Nancy Shield.

The SR Group has over 200 fee-earners operating from 10 offices in the U.K., Europe, Middle East, Asia and Australia and specializing in HR, legal, compliance, tax, treasury, marketing and sales.
There’s been a host M&A activity in the executive recruiting field in recent months. Last week, healthcare workforce solutions provider AMN Healthcare Services completed its acquisition of healthcare-focused executive search firm B.E. Smith for $160 million in cash. This follows AMN’s recent deal for Millican Solutions, a physician executive search firm focused on serving academic medical centers and children’s hospitals. In 2015, Options Group acquired Whitney Correlate’s business, Heidrick & Struggles acquired Co Company and Korn Ferry purchased Hay Group.
