Solomon Page Opens New Office in Washington, D.C.
February 25, 2020 – New York City-headquartered Solomon Page has opened a new office in Washington, D.C. The firm also expanded its legal services division with the addition of Jennifer Atlan as director of legal recruiting.
Ms. Atlan is a licensed attorney and has over six years of experience in the recruiting industry. Her efforts will be concentrated on expanding the company’s presence in the Washington, D.C. market. The new office provides clients with direct access to project managers and a conveniently located, secure, off-site workspace.
Ms. Atlan joins Solomon Page from The Midtown Group, where she served as director of recruiting. Before that, she was director of legal recruiting for Trustpoint. One, where she specialized in high volume recruiting of contract attorneys, temporary to permanent attorneys and permanent staff attorneys for an AM100 law firm.
Simultaneously, in pursuit of building the firm’s service offerings, managing director Ron Schein has joined the Solomon Page legal services division to grow the partner-to-partner business nationally. Mr. Schein spent the past eight years a vice president with Michaelson Associates.
“After spending nine years at Solomon Page earlier in my career, I’m very excited to return to build a best-in-class lateral partner and permanent placement business, alongside many other market-leading divisions,” said Mr. Schein. “With the resources of a large company and agility of a small firm, Solomon Page will be an exceptional partner in continuing my journey within the legal services industry.”
Solomon Page’s legal services division specializes in developing and customizing strategic recruitment solutions, including managed document reviews, contract staffing and direct hire for law firms and in-house counsel teams.
Founded in 1990, Solomon Page is a specialty niche provider of recruitment and executive search solutions across a wide array of functions and industries. The firm’s healthcare division focuses exclusively on retained executive search in the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices, healthcare delivery, managed care and digital health sectors globally. With industry insight from a 30-person staff based in the U.S. and Europe, this recruiting division has proven track record of placing board, C-level, VP and director level leaders with clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to PE/VC backed start-ups globally in the U.S., Canada, Europe and China.
Lloyd Solomon and Scott Page are co-founders and managing directors of the firm.
Recent Growth
Last month, Solomon Page expanded with the addition of Luigi Frezza as managing director and global practice lead for life sciences. Reporting to president and global practice leader Marc Gouran, he is based in the firm’s London office and will drive the growth of the life sciences team globally by partnering with companies in the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices and diagnostics sectors. Mr. Frezza previously led the pharmaceutical and biotech practice Carmichael Fisher across Europe and the U.S. In support of this expansion, additional hires include vice president Kristen Dorn and consultant Shanon Yeow, who are both based in the recently opened Conshohocken, PA office.
Last year, Solomon Page acquired retail specialists E.A. Hughes & Co. The E.A. Hughes team of eight continues to be led by Elaine Hughes, who founded the firm in 1991. The boutique executive search firm, headquartered in New York City, has been serving the retail, apparel, footwear, beauty, home and e-commerce sectors, among others.
“We’ve done about four acquisitions over our 28-year history, in healthcare executive search, the publishing search space, in the legal staffing world and technology,” said Mr. Solomon. “E.A. Hughes really extends our reach in the fashion retail consumer goods space and becomes a division. They retain their group, and operate autonomously and collaboratively with our existing fashion team.”
