Signium Expands in Munich 

January 6, 2021 – Even in the face of a global pandemic, executive search consultants are seeing an increase in hiring mandates from around the world. To meet demand, they continue to develop new practices, hire new recruiters, and open new locations. Global recruiting consortiums, meanwhile, are taking advantage of a resurgence in certain geographic areas.

Recently, executive search consortium Signium strengthened its staff with the addition of Marcus Kötting as managing partner in Munich.

“We are delighted to welcome Marcus Kötting as a new member in our partnership,” said Margareta Glass, managing partner at Signium International in Munich. “With his distinct expertise in the automotive, industry and HR domains he is going to strengthen our competency in the industrial and small-firm sector.”

Prior to Signium, Mr. Kötting was with Korn Ferry serving as a senior client partner for more than five years. He started out as an HR consultant and has held positions as human resources executive and managing director in renowned industry and aerospace firms such as Daimler, EADS and Airbus. Mr. Kötting also held various HR roles with General Electric, Lear Corp. and Faurecia.

At Signium, Mr. Kötting is responsible for filling positions on the executive level and the subsequent managing levels in the industry all over Europe, as well as HR-positions across sectors. Among his clients are international large businesses and family firms as well as private equity companies and family offices. Within the industrial sector, he specializes in the automotive and aerospace industry, as well as in the areas of machinery and plant engineering, measurement engineering and metal processing.

Munich Economy

Munich’s economy is based on high tech, automobiles, the service sector and creative industries, as well as IT, biotechnology, engineering and electronics among many others. The city houses many multinational companies, such as BMW, Siemens, MAN, Linde, Allianz and MunichRE. It is also home to two research universities, a multitude of scientific institutions, and world-class technology and science museums like the Deutsches Museum and BMW Museum.
