Search Firm Tackles Tough Task of Filling Top Sales Posts

October 8, 2015 – Major Executive Search has recruited Luc Comeau as vice president of sales for Levels Beyond in Denver. In his role, he will lead business development efforts for the company.

Mr. Comeau brings over 25 years of experience in facilitating solutions for clients in the broadcast and media communities. He most recently served as senior business development manager at Dalet Digital Media Systems, where he developed key markets in the digital media industry and collaborated with development teams to create solutions for a number of companies and broadcasters.

“We are delighted to have Luc join our team. He is, hands down, one of the most respected and far sighted executives working in our industry today. With his vision and perspective, he is going to be a strong addition to our team,” said Art Raymond, chief executive officer of Levels Beyond. “He has consistently proven that his knowledge of the technology and of his customers is extensive, and we look forward to working with him to develop strategic opportunities to fuel the company’s continued growth.”

Reach Engine, Levels Beyond’s media inventory platform, serves a number of content creation and distribution businesses, including advertising, sports, media & entertainment, and publishing. Its client list includes The New York Times, The Mill UK, Sundance Institute, BBC Studios and Post Production, M&C Saatchi, and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Currently, Major Executive Search is leading VP sales searches for wholesale voice and interconnection services provider, Inteliquent, and Retail Inkjet Solutions. Over the past few months, the firm has placed sales executives for wireless solutions provider Airgain and power solutions company ETAK Systems.

Finding qualified sales executives continues to be an issue for hiring companies. According to ManpowerGroup’s 2015 Talent Shortage Report, sales positions have been some of the most difficult to fill in 2015. And it has not been an attractive to new generations of workers.

“Companies are having a hard time selling people on a career in sales,” said Dale M. Zupsansky, managing editor of Hunt Scanlon Media. “Millennials and younger professionals perceive the field as risky and defined by competition.”

Major Executive Search, previously part of DavenportMajor Executive Search, is a global recruiting firm founded and led by Susan Major. The firm specializes in finding senior-level executives for companies in the wireless mobility solutions, digital media, big data/analytics, cloud computing, software applications (PaaS/SaaS), cybersecurity, IoT, semiconductor, wireless healthcare solutions, and manufacturing spaces.
