Salveson Stetson Group Recruits CEO for Episcopal Community Services

January 24, 2024 – Radnor, PA-based executive search firm Salveson Stetson Group has recently placed Anne Rice-Burgess as the new CEO of Episcopal Community Services in Philadelphia, PA. Ms. Rice-Burgess has more than 30 years of experience in faith-based human services organizations, most recently leading Methodist Services as president and CEO. Her career stemmed from experience as an adopted child and lifelong attendance and membership in faith-based institutions. Her passion for the work lies deeply in conviction that regardless of one’s birth circumstances and/or life experience, everyone deserves to be equally valued and provided with opportunities to thrive.

Ms. Rice-Burgess’ work includes direct care case management in addiction counseling, foster/kinship care and adoption; human resources; program management and development; grant writing and fundraising; strategic planning, and board membership.

Ms. Rice-Burgess’ career has been highlighted by the work she has done to create permanent families, the development and construction of permanent housing for unhoused individuals and families, the creation of programming and housing for LGBTQIA+ youth, multiple grant awards for early childhood education, OST, case management, health and wellness services, domestic violence, capital improvement projects, the creation of an urban farm, and advocacy. Ms. Rice-Burgess’s funding development includes city, state, federal, and private funding resources. In all these efforts, she dedicates herself to developing and elevating her team through continuous professional development, focusing on diversifying the staff to reflect the population served and succession planning.

Episcopal Community Services’ mission is to challenge and reduce intergenerational poverty. The non-profit organization increases the ability of people to improve their lives and achieve economic independence. It was established in 1870.

Salveson Stetson Group Recruits SVP of Global Talent Acquisition for AmerisourceBergen
Salveson Stetson Group has assisted in the recruitment of Ronita Griffin as SVP of global talent acquisition for AmerisourceBergen in Conshohocken, PA. Ms. Griffin has more than 20 years of experience as a human resources executive. She has experience leading large, global talent attraction and acquisition functions across a diverse range of businesses and end markets. Additionally, the search firm says, she has the proven ability to develop and implement strategies that lead to significant company value creation across the talent lifecycle.

Most recently, Ms. Griffin served as vice president of global talent attraction and acquisition at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Prior to that, she was diversity and inclusion leader at Life Technologies, which was acquired by Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2014. Also, Ms. Griffin has held management positions at Pfizer and Merck where she led strategic staffing initiatives. She began her career in human resources as a staffing consultant at GlaxoSmith Kline in 2000.


Ms. Stetson brings more than two decades of experience as an executive search consultant. She has worked across diverse industries including life sciences and pharmaceutical, healthcare systems, manufacturing, telecommunications, non-profit, and professional services. Ms. Stetson also serves as practice leader for the firm’s human resources specialty practice. Prior to co-founding her firm, Ms. Stetson served as vice president of client services for Right Management Consultants and as vice president of W.K. Gray and Associates, an executive search firm. She also held senior human resources management positions at Thomas Jefferson University.

Salveson Stetson Group recently partnered with The Hershey Company in an executive search to hire their new global head of talent acquisition, Debra Simmers. Hershey is an international leader in the snack industry, boasting an extensive portfolio of over 90 brands and annual revenues nearing $11 billion.

With a career spanning nearly three decades, Ms. Simmers is a seasoned human resources executive with a deep expertise in talent acquisition. Before her current role, she was an executive director of human resources and global talent acquisition business partners at Bristol Myers Squibb. Her track record includes positions at Celgene Corporation, Axovant Sciences, and Novartis Pharmaceuticals.
