RSR Partners Bolsters Industrial Search Practice

October 29, 2015 – RSR Partners, a corporate governance and executive search firm, has added Alan Renne as managing director in its industrial practice. He will be based in the firm’s Greenwich, Conn., office.

Mr. Renne specializes in both public and private diversified industrial companies with extensive portfolios of products, services, and solutions. He also helps companies build competence within their leadership teams and boards, advising on leadership development, succession planning, and organizational development. His additional areas of emphasis involve senior functional leaders in engineering, research and development, finance, strategy, M&A, and sustainability.

Mr. Renne joins RSR Partners from Russell Reynolds Associates, where he served as managing director in its New York headquarters and Connecticut office. Before that he was with The Coca-Cola Company in senior general management positions at country, division, and regional levels in Europe and Eurasia. Earlier in his career he was with The J.M. Smucker Company, where he served as managing director of a European subsidiary, director of greater Europe business development, and group marketing manager.

“Alan’s track record, speed, and industry knowledge will provide our clients a decided edge in the marketplace. We knew we wanted him on our team, not someone else’s,” said RSR Partners chairman Russell S. Reynolds Jr.

Colin Graham, head of the firm’s industrial practice, said: “Alan’s search expertise spanning an array of industrial markets adds a powerful combination of skills and network to our practice. His contributions to our aerospace, automotive, diversified manufacturing, industrial technology, and transportation work will be highly-additive.”

“As C-suites and boardrooms face leadership challenges like never before, I am thrilled to join the team of senior-level recruiting talent at RSR Partners,” said Mr. Renne. “And I look forward to continuing to provide industrial and technology companies a competitive advantage through the recruitment of extraordinary CEOs, directors, and senior executives.”

RSR Partners’ industrial practice provides expertise in these sectors: aerospace and defense; construction and basic materials; diversified manufacturing; energy, chemicals, and utilities; specialty materials; and transportation and shipping. The firm’s collective body of work includes over 1,000 successful industrial executive placements across the full spectrum of industrial sectors — ranging from private equity-backed portfolio companies to members of the Fortune 50.

This past summer, RSR Partners strengthened its financial services and legal & regulatory search practices with the addition of Michael Fahey. He serves as a senior advisor to the firm’s financial services clients. He formerly was a managing director with Avenue Pacific.

In June, the firm added Dany Berghoff as a principal to bolster its sports leadership practice. Mr. Berghoff was previously VP of sponsorships and partnerships at The Paley Center for Media, where he led a team focused on generating commercial revenues emanating from traditional sponsorship and content rights.
