Renovata Strengthens Search Team in New York
September 26, 2018 – Renovata, a global executive search firm with offices in London, New York, Berlin and Stockholm, has expanded with the addition of former Marlin Hawk consultant George Mazzella. He joins the firm’s New York office and will help its expansion efforts across North America.
Mr. Mazzella delivers both retained executive search and leadership advisory services to both public and private organizations. With Marlin Hawk, he was a key member of the firm’s financial services and alternative investment practices and played a critical role in the firm’s U.S. business development efforts. Before Marlin Hawk, Mr. Mazzella served as the delivery lead for Heidrick & Struggles’ private equity & venture capital practice. His work involved placing both board and C-level executives into some of the world’s leading private equity organizations and their portfolio companies.

But now the flow seems to be in the other direction. “High-growth technology businesses are scouting traditional banking, automotive and manufacturing companies, because that’s where you find the talent to lead large people organizations and handle new challenges like tightened regulatory environments,” he said. “It’s a different talent market than five years ago, and Renovata has always had its eye on these trends.
