Struan Mckay

Struan joined RGF Executive Search Japan in 2006 to create an Industrial & Manufacturing team. He has additionally led the Technology, Consumer, and Operations teams, COO since then. From 2018 he stepped into the CEO role with responsibility for all day-to-day operations across the company.

Struan has been involved in executive search based in Tokyo since 2003, successfully executing on positions in market entry and start-up projects for foreign capital clients along with C-level placements for small to medium-sized firms looking to strategically reinforce or upgrade their management teams in Japan. Prior to moving to Japan, his background included production, engineering, and factory management roles, with over 16 years’ experience in Nissan Motor, Mars, Nestlé, and SCA.

Originally from Scotland, Struan has an engineering degree from the University of Strathclyde and an M.B.A. from Durham University Business School. In his spare time he enjoys riding Italian motorcycles, reading good books, and walking his dog.
