Peter Chong

Peter is Managing Director of RGF Executive Search Indonesia.

He has over 20 years of experience in Asia and has 15 years industry experience within the IT&T space serving FSI segments. His corporate background included companies such as Cable & Wireless, Motorola, Bertelsmann AG and a boutique technology consultancy mainly in Sales, Business Development, Account Management and Advisory to MNC’s and large local firms across Asia. Peter has handled C-level and head of business mandates from leading banks and financial services oriented organizations in Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam. A particular specialization has been in governance oriented positions within risk management and quantitative analytics supporting credit, operations, marketing and product.

Peter has been in recruitment since 2010 with successful placements including Chief Risk Officer for a large local bank in Vietnam, AP Head of Collections for a Global Bank in Hong Kong, Head of Consulting for a Global card company in China, Chief Information Officer for a bank in Vietnam, and Head of Retail Banking for a local bank in Malaysia amongst other mid-senior level roles in the region.

Adding value to both client/candidate relationships is a long term operating model for him. A business development specialist, he enjoys working with people and helping others develop their skills and career aspirations.
Peter graduated from Centennial College (Canada) in Marketing and speaks fluent English/Cantonese and beginners Mandarin and Bahasa.
