Robert Rostron

Based in New York, Rob is a Senior Director for CMF. He leads the talent initiative to ensure the technical quality of all CMF teams – for both consulting engagements and full-time executive searches. Rob has more than 22 years of relevant financial and operating experience, including over 15 years of expertise leading due diligence and M&A transaction services-related work. As a Senior Director at CMF, Rob leads consulting engagements with a specialty in complex carve-outs and finance transformation projects. He also has extensive experience leading due diligence, interim CFO, financial reporting and post-transaction integration projects.

Prior to joining CMF, Rob was a Director of M&A at Deloitte & Touche LLP in New York City within the firm’s partner group, where his accomplishments included advising clients on M&A transactions ranging from $20 million to over $5 billion. Rob led cross-functional M&A due diligence engagements with a focus on evaluating quality of earnings, working capital, senior management, accounting processes, and financial projections. He also developed and implemented a national M&A training curriculum for company employees.

Rob is superhuman, having completed 15 Ironman Triathlons (for real). He also enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and two English bulldogs. 

Robert holds a B.S. in Accounting and Business from University at Albany – SUNY. He is a Certified Public Accountant (NY) and a member of the American Institute and New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
