Klaus Steinmann

Klaus Steinmann started with Mercuri Urval in 1998 in our Hamburg Office. From the beginning he had his focus on Automotive- & Aerospace as well as Manufacturing Industry. After almost 5 years (2006-2010) collecting experiences as Manager and Partner in Executive Search outside Mercuri Urval, he returned end of 2010 and became member of the German Board & Executive team of Mercuri Urval. In 2011 he built up our German Automotive Sector Team with today 15 Automotive consultants. End of 2013 Klaus got promoted as Global Head of the Automotive Sector at Mercuri Urval. He established the Global Automotive Sector Group at Mercuri Urval with today 45 Automotive consultants in more than 20 countries. The team performs International Executive Search in more than 30 Automotive countries, including China, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Korea, India, Brazil, USA, Mexico, South Africa.

The Global Automotive Team works currently for 10 OEM and about 30 Top Global Suppliers. Since 2017 Klaus Steinmann is, together with three other colleagues, the Head of our Düsseldorf office.

Klaus is experienced in New Technologies and Trends such as Electric and Hybrid Cars, Autonomous Drive, Industry 4.0 and Digitalization.

Prior to joining Mercuri Urval, Klaus Steinmann had worked for several years in a number of different functions within Robert Bosch GmbH and Atlas Copco, mainly in Sales and Marketing.

After an apprenticeship as Industrial Clerk Klaus Steinmann studied business administration at the Universities of Nuremberg and Bamberg with majors in Automotive Business, Marketing and Strategic Management. He holds a master degree in economics. Klaus speaks English and German fluently, some Italian too.
