Dave is Managing Partner of CarterBaldwin. His practice spans senior executive searches for a diverse client base of global corporations, mid-market companies, and non-profit/mission-oriented organizations. He works extensively with portfolio companies of leading PE and Family Offices. Many of Dave’s clients have a heavy focus on purpose and values in their organizations.
Dave entered the executive search business in 2010 after a successful 25-year business career that included selling for Xerox and marketing for Coca-Cola. Dave was also founder & the chief revenue officer of a software business that he and his partners grew to a large-scale success with hundreds of enterprise clients, ultimately selling the company to Thomson Corporation, a strategic buyer. Dave was retained after the sale and spent five additional years integrating the company, leading corporate development/M&A, and then running a group of P&Ls as SVP & GM for Thomson Reuters.
Dave’s large company and successful entrepreneurial experience gives him a distinct client and candidate understanding and empathy that distinguishes his search practice. Having successfully led hundreds of searches, Dave’s typical client sees him as an extension of their c-suite, teaming to build and strengthen the leadership team and future leaders of their companies across virtually all functional areas.
