Pendragon Consulting Launches Effort to Place Veterans Into Jobs

August 28, 2020 – As millions of people across the nation are adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, some veterans have been hit especially hard by the crisis. Pendragon Consulting, a veteran-owned recruiting firm, has launched a new effort to place military veterans affected by COVID-19 into full-time employment.

“As countless amounts of veterans have lost their jobs during the pandemic, we are partnering up with companies throughout the nation to do our best to get them back to full-time employment,” said Dakota Pendragon, co-founder of the firm.

A veteran himself, Mr. Pendragon wants to help others who have served in the military. Pendragon Consulting works hand-in-hand with veterans.

Pendragon Consulting cited the Veteran Opportunity Report, powered by LinkedIn data and insights, which explores the current state of veteran employment and how challenging it can be for veterans to face the realities of not doing work that makes full use of their skills and abilities.

The report found that though veteran unemployment has decreased over the past decade, veterans are more likely to be underemployed than nonveterans. Veterans also remain with their initial company longer and are more likely to be promoted earlier than nonveterans. In addition, veterans are more likely to have a graduate degree or higher and have more work experience, on average, than non-veterans.

“In focusing our efforts on serving veterans that are looking for employment we are demonstrating our wholehearted commitment to improving the lives of those men and women who have given so much of themselves to our country by making sure no veteran is left behind,” Mr. Pendragon said.
