AMN Healthcare Launches Return-to-Work Services

June 23, 2020 – AMN Healthcare, a provider of healthcare total talent services to facilities, has launched a customizable, technology-enabled and clinically based service for businesses and other organizations to protect the health and safety of employees as they return to work.

As businesses welcome back employees and clients amid the coronavirus outbreak, AMN Healthcare said that it requires effective solutions based on clinical protocols to ensure safety and confidence and to follow guidelines from state and local health departments. AMN return-to-work solutions provide a customized program for each employer along with all necessary staffing and protocols, which can include temperature checks, COVID-19 testing, onsite clinic support, quarantine management and a telehealth platform.

These services are in use today by large employers across the globe and can be tailored to a variety of settings, including workplaces of all sizes, educational institutions, hospitality industries, entertainment venues and others. They provide scalable options, based on evidence-tested clinical protocols, and include services that can be integrated into existing safety programs or comprehensive programs that meet an organization’s entire safety needs for reopening.

“It’s vital for all organizations to ensure the health and well-being of their employees as they come back to work,” said Kelly Rakowski, group president and chief operating officer for strategic talent solutions at AMN. “As the leader in our industry, AMN Healthcare is well known throughout healthcare for clinical and service quality, and now our expertise is helping industries safely reopen and resume business operations.”

AMN operational expertise includes program planning and management to build and execute a customized program based on exact needs. “AMN clinical expertise is supported by the nation’s largest network of pre-screened, qualified physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals,” the company said. AMN also offers telehealth, virtual interpretation services and other technology solutions that can be integral to an effective return-to-work program.

AMN Healthcare provides access to a comprehensive network of quality healthcare professionals through its innovative recruitment strategies and breadth of career opportunities. The company helps providers optimize their workforce to successfully reduce complexity, increase efficiency and improve patient outcomes. AMN delivers managed services programs, healthcare executive search solutions, vendor management systems, recruitment process outsourcing, predictive labor analytics, mid-revenue cycle management, credentialing solutions and other services. Clients include acute-care hospitals, community health centers and clinics, physician practice groups, retail and urgent care centers, home health facilities, schools and many other healthcare settings.

Stepping Up to Help Clients

For executive search firms, the COVID-19 pandemic has changed how business is conducted. Many search firms have stepped up with new approaches to assist clients during these trying times.  London-based executive search firm Grace Blue Partnership has launched TRANSITION, a complimentary online platform providing a place for displaced talent to find practical and inspirational content, a network of industry peers and access potential job opportunities. “COVID-19 and the events of the past week in the U.S. have completely upended our lives and how we do business,” said Jay Haines, one of the founders of Grace Blue Partnership. “The significant budgets cuts have massively disrupted the industry, and companies now have to rethink everything including their approach to the future, to racial equity, and to caring for their talent.”

“COVID-19 is widening pre-existing gender gaps — especially for women of color,” said Shelley Zalis, CEO of The Female Quotient. “We face the very real risk that gains made for women and girls in recent decades will be reversed. Leaders need to make conscious decisions to elevate their talent and ensure that women continue to have opportunities. That’s why initiatives like TRANSITION are so vital if we are to create a better normal coming out of the crisis.”

Executive search experts at Saenger Associates recently created a special program for clients who have an immediate need to fill executive or senior management positions. The firm’s new “Virtual Fast-Tracked 30-Day Retained Executive Search” offer, which is focused on the aerospace & defense and industrial products industries, essentially puts Saenger Associates’ well-known search strategies on steroids. The new plan is designed to immediately fill a vacancy in a critical position due to health issues, a resignation, or an incumbent who couldn’t perform to acceptable standards or the hiring away of a key executive by a competitor.

“Our time target for offer acceptance is usually 70 days, but for our Virtual Fast-Tracked clients, we cut it to 30,” Mr. Saenger said. “We do this by tripling down on research and recruiters as well as on the daily communication between all the stakeholders via phone, email and video conferencing,” he said. “The only corner we cut for the 30-day program is time. Of course, the 30-day timeframe is contingent on our client and candidates showing up and keeping up with our expedited priority schedule.”

N2Growth, a Philadelphia-based management consulting and executive search firm, will also be deferring 50 percent of all search fees for new engagements until after the COVID-19 pandemic has been contained. “This is a rather unprecedented time, and it’s during times like this that we need to come together and find opportunities to serve each other,” said Mike Myatt, founder and chairman of N2Growth. “The spread of COVID-19 is causing suffering for thousands of families around the world; it is disrupting daily life, closing schools, and impacting markets. We feel an obligation to lead by example and do our part to help the marketplace get to the other side of this.”
