Milwaukee Bar Taps Spano Pratt for Next Leader

March 1, 2016 – Spano Pratt Executive Search has been selected by the Milwaukee Bar Association to lead its search for a new executive director. James Temmer has recently left the organization to become CEO of the Better Business Bureau serving Wisconsin.

Managing partner Jamie Pratt is leading the search assignment. Ms. Pratt is a co-founder of the firm and has cultivated and overseen the non-profit search practice there for the past 10 years.

The executive director role at the Milwaukee Bar is the organization’s strategic leader with oversight of some 2,000 members. The incoming director will be responsible for overseeing the administration, programs and strategic plan of the MBA. Other key duties include marketing and outreach across the legal community and into the general community.

Serving the needs of the greater Milwaukee legal community since 1858, the Milwaukee Bar Association has enjoyed a long-established reputation for innovative programming and unique events that attract and retain members, provides high quality continuing legal education, and advances the legal profession.

Spano Pratt consultants have a number of non-profit searches underway, including an executive director for Luther Manor Foundation; a senior director of marketing for Children’s Hospital Wisconsin; and an executive director for the New England Water Works Association.

The firm recently placed Mary Bridges as executive director of Professional Dimensions, a Milwaukee-area professional women’s organization. Deborah Fugenschuh, a longtime Milwaukee non-profit leader, previously led the organization.
