McDermott + Bull Recruits COO for ClinNEXUS

January 28, 2026 – Irvine, CA-based McDermott + Bull has placed Jovan Hollins as chief operating officer of ClinNEXUS in Los Angeles. The search was completed by partner Jake Vander Zanden and executive recruiter Michael Matranga. “We are thrilled to welcome Jovan, a seasoned executive, change agent and visionary, with nearly two decades of leadership experience in the healthcare industry,” said ClinNEXUS’ CEO, Greg Carroll. “Jovan brings to ClinNEXUS executive leadership in operations, sales, and general management at a crucial point in the company’s trajectory in terms of both membership and revenue growth. We look forward to drawing on his operational expertise as part of our management team, as well as his strong track record dealing with the needs of patients and underserved communities, which is the crux of our business.”

Mr. Hollins most recently served as COO at Sevita, the nation’s largest Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) health services provider. Prior to that he was SVP at GI Alliance, the nation’s largest privately held gastroenterology organization. Mr. Hollins served in various other leadership operations and marketing roles before this, including roles at AccentCare and DaVita. After serving in the United States Air Force Academy, Mr. Hollins also served in the United States Air Force as an operations program director handling operational and budgeting efficiencies. In addition, he has served as a board member of the Salvation Army advisory board.

Mr. Vander Zanden serves as a managing director and leader of McDermott + Bull’s technology life sciences practice. He has spent over 25 years as a turnaround and growth leader completing business transformations as a senior executive at companies like Allergan, Medtronic, and more. Mr. Vander Zanden has lived and worked throughout Asia, Africa and Europe, and managed businesses in all the major regions of the world.

Mr. Matranga is manager of search operations for McDermott + Bull where he performs research to ensure the placement of senior leaders. He is responsible for candidate sourcing, contact enrichment, and overall data management for the firm. Prior to his current role, Mr. Matranga served as a data management associate for McDermott + Bull. He now partners with the aerospace + defense, life sciences, and real estate practices to help fulfill their research needs.

MWM Environmental Search

McDermott + Bull also placed Ahmed Taha as CEO at Collective Waste Solutions (CWS) and MWM Environmental (MWM). The search was led by McDermott + Bull managing partner Paul Gibbons, principal Colin Dolson, principal Brittany Stansfield, and lead consultant, executive search + talent development Jennifer Ness. “Ahmed brings deep industry knowledge and grounded leadership style that aligns with our values and vision,” said Frank Reppenhagen, chairman of the board. “His experience and people-focused approach make him the right person to lead us into this exciting next chapter.”

Mr. Taha brings over two decades of experience in the environmental services industry. He most recently served as area vice president at GFL Environmental, where he oversaw a $620 million P&L and led growth through more than 30 acquisitions. Prior to GFL, Mr. Taha held senior roles at Tervita, where he grew the oil sands division from $30 million to $400 million in revenue. He has a track record in strategic planning, operations, and M&A.
