SPMB Executive Search, which helps find transformative executives throughout Silicon Valley, has recruited Samir Kapoor as the new chief technology officer of NYSE-traded Arlo Technologies, Inc., a smart home security brand in San Jose, CA. The search was led by Sean Lucq and Lea Hagglund from SPMB’s engineering and product practice. “As Arlo looks forward to its next stage of growth, we are excited to welcome Samir into Arlo’s executive leadership as its new chief technology officer,” said Matthew McRae, CEO of Arlo. “Samir brings a proven track record of leading complex engineering organizations that bring together hardware, software, and services into a holistic, complete solution, and Samir is uniquely positioned to lean in and excel in this challenging role.”

Matt Mooney and Jake Espenlaub of ON Partners have helped to place Sathish Gaddipati as chief technology officer of Victory Live, a Clearlake Capital Group backed  technology platform. “I am honored for Sathish to join Victory Live as CTO,” said Sam Soni, founder of Victory Live. “Sathish is an experienced  executive that will help propel our engineering and product teams – and our company as a whole – to new levels of growth and sophistication.” Mr. Gaddipati brings technology leadership experience to Victory Live, having spent over 20 years designing and building distributed platforms, SaaS products, and data & analytics platforms across verticals that include media & entertainment, financial technology, and transportation, among others.

Jim Bethmann of Toronto-based Caldwell recently placed Richard Bonner as the new chief technology officer for Accelsius, which is working to remove the thermal constraints in computing. Mr. Bonner most recently served as vice president of R&D at Advanced Cooling Technologies (ACT). In this role, he was responsible for ACT’s research and development group, including personnel, P&L, revenue, and new science, technology, and product development. The R&D portfolio included emerging heat pipe, phase change material, pumped-two-phase, phase separation, combustion, energy harvesting, coatings, and advanced computational modeling technologies among others.
