Krauthamer & Associates Recruits CFO for the Jacksonville Transportation Authority

December 15, 2023 – Over the past year, a growing number of transportation companies have enlisted executive search firms to help them find senior talent. Executive recruiting firm Krauthamer & Associates has assisted in the recruitment of Raj Srinath as the new senior vice president and chief financial officer of the Jacksonville Transportation Authority.

Mr. Srinath is a top-performing management professional with abilities to optimize capital, reduce risk, and increase corporate profitability. He has nearly 30 years of financial management experience, most recently serving as the CFO at the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA). In this role, Mr. Srinath was responsible for MARTA’s strategic direction, operational and capital budgets, debt & investments programs, financial viability, and daily management of MARTA’s department of finance. In addition to the department of finance, he managed the federal and state grants programs, and the department of contracts, procurement & materials. He also advised the general manager and the board of directors on fiscal management matters.

Prior to that, Mr. Srinath served as deputy general manager/CFO at Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) where he was responsible for all finance functions, real estate development, risk management, information technology, human resources, employee relations, grants, procurement, and contracts.

As SVP and CFO of the Jacksonville Transportation Authority, Mr. Srinath will be responsible for directing the financial planning and analysis, budgeting, revenue, and fixed assets programs functions and personnel for the organization. He also oversees the department of information technology, and the fixed assets program for the Jacksonville Transportation Authority.

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority, an independent state agency serving Duval County, has multi-modal responsibilities. JTA designs and constructs bridges and highways and provides varied mass transit services. These include express and regular bus service, community shuttles for a neighborhood ride, a downtown Skyway monorail, the St. Johns River Ferry, the Gameday Xpress for various sporting events at TIAA Bank Field, Paratransit for the disabled and elderly, and Ride Request on-demand services.

Krauthamer & Associates Places CEO for Capital Metro in Austin, TX
Krauthamer & Associates has helped to place Dottie Watkins as president and chief executive officer of Austin, TX-based transportation provider Capital Metro (CapMetro). Ms. Watkins had been serving as interim CEO since last June. The transit agency’s board of directors appointed her after previous leader Randy Clarke stepped down to head the transit system in Washington, D.C. Ms. Watkins will be charged with continuing to guide the agency through its continued expansion. The announcement comes on the heels of the first CapMetro rail red line improvement project completion under Project Connect, the city’s high-capacity transit system expansion.
