IMSA Search Expands Into the U.K.

May 28, 2021 – Executive search network IMSA Search Global Partners expanded into the U.K. with the addition of Murray Price Executive Search. Graham Murray and Phillip Price join IMSA as U.K. managing partners. “The U.K. offers a major opportunity for expansion in talent acquisition, as companies across the world pivot to their post-pandemic plans,” said Monika Ciesielska, president of IMSA Search Global Partners. “The addition of the IMSA UK team will greatly enhance our ability to meet our clients’ growing needs for experienced leadership to drive their next phase of growth.”
“For IMSA Search UK, identifying the right senior leader for each client requires a thorough understanding of the organization’s goals, opportunities and culture combined with skillful assessment of candidates’ knowledge, skills, abilities, and style. Yet, the heart of the successful search is a commitment to trust and integrity above all else,” according to IMSA Search. “We build that trust through strong relationships,” said Mr. Murray. “We take the idea of listening seriously – and we don’t shy away from providing honest feedback, even when we have a different perspective,” adds Mr. Price.
Mr. Murray and Mr. Price bring over 50 years combined experience as senior level executives and consultants. Mr. Murray has extensive search experience having worked for both Michael Page and Odgers Berndtson and then with a smaller generalist boutique. Earning a degree in metallurgy and engineering materials before he moved into recruitment, Mr. Murray held a range of sales and marketing roles with leading global manufacturers, including Burmah Castrol and Vesuvius, in the foundry sector. Mr. Price was most recently treasurer and managing partner at Friisberg & Partners International. Previously, he built and led Deloitte’s executive search practice and HR consulting operations across the U.K. Before his career in executive search, Mr. Price became a qualified chartered accountant.
IMSA Search UK focuses on a broad range of sectors including: industrial, engineering and manufacturing, life sciences and pharmaceuticals, FMCG and consumer durables, retail, construction and building products, energy, infrastructure, IT / telecoms, not-for-profit, professional services, transportation, hospitality and leisure, gaming and gambling, and banking / financial.

Preferred Assessment Provider
Following an in-depth evaluation of psychometric assessment platforms, IMSA Search recently announced its selection of Hogan Assessment Systems as its preferred assessment provider. Consultants will now be able to offer valuable personality insights to clients across the globe.
Hogan’s psychometrics provide hiring managers with in-depth understanding of a candidate’s future job performance, including everyday strengths and weaknesses, performance risks and alignment with organizational culture. The platform is designed to identify candidates’ strengths and weaknesses without discriminating against any person in terms of race, gender, appearance, religion, beliefs, etc.
IMSA Expands Board to Strengthen Presence in North America and Latin America
IMSA Search Global Partners elected Mitchell Berger to its board of directors. He has also been appointed regional director for North America and Latin America. In his new role, Mr. Berger will concentrate on further building IMSA Search’s presence in these regions.
“It is critical to ascertain the negative as well as the positive traits in candidates,” said Stig-Rune Reese, managing partner of IMSA Norway, head of IMSA Search assessment center of excellence. “For example, narcissism and hypocrisy are common in high-level executives. These can disrupt relationships and derail success. Knowing about a person’s tendencies toward these in advance can help mitigate future workplace issues before they arise.” Mr. Reese also emphasized that the Hogan assessments can help to eliminate bias from the hiring process.
“Hogan is reliable, data driven and scientific,” said Ms. Ciesielska. “It takes our assessments to a much deeper level, increasing confidence in the search process and resulting in greater success for our clients.”
